知识目标：学生能够掌握课标要求的四会词汇。 能力目标：学生了解与介绍英语国家有关的词汇和句式。 情感目标：学生通过了解英语使用国家范围的广泛性，从而认识到学习英语的重要性。
教学内容
教学重点： 学生能够掌握一些与英语国家介绍有关的词汇。 掌握以下重点句式： People speak English as their first language in many countries. What else do you know about the countries Some of these countries are south of China. What direction are they from China 教学难点： 激发学生的学习情趣。 运用所学知识介绍英语在世界各地的使用情况。
教学过程
Step 1: Review
Show a map of the world to the students and ask:
What country is it
What language do people speak in this country
What direction is it from China
意图：通过这个过程，同学们既复习了本单元各个国家的情况，同时复习了方向，为下 面新课做铺垫。
Step2:lead-in
Point at the map and say: These countries are English-speaking countries.
Do you know in what countries people speak English as their first language in the world
意图：直接导入新课。
Step3: Presentation
Teach the new words and phrases .
Singapore 新加坡（地名）
Africa 非洲（地名）
South Africa (南非)
English-speaking countries (说英语的国家)
all over the world = around the world （全世界）
a list of （……的清单）
Step 4: Listening.
Listen and write true(T) or false(F).
People speak English as their first language in eight countries. ( )
English-speaking countries are all over the world. ( )
Some English-speaking countries are north of China. ( )
Australia is an English-speaking country.( )
