Step 1 Leading-in (2 mins) Ask the students to think about the two questions. ①Are you proud of yourself ②What are you good at Ask the students to work in pairs. A:I’m good at singing. What are you good at B:I am good at… Step 2 Vocabulary 1.Teach the new words and expressions of this lesson. In this lesson, we will talk about ourselves. As a person, everyone is unique and has his or her personal talents and strengths. So we are supposed to be proud of ourselves. That makes sense. unique adj. 独特的 suppose v. 假定;认为ourselves pron. 我们自己person n. 人 talent n. 才智;天赋 personal adj. 个人的 strength n. 长处;力量

Ask the students to read the new words and expressions in groups. Step 3 Pre-reading (3mins) Task 1 Fast-reading 1. Ask the students to read the lesson and finish Let’s Do It! No. 1.
