Step 1 Leading-in Lead in by discussing the following questions. What are your strong points and weak points Did you ever write to a doctor or another person for help Show some pictures of strong points or weak points.Let the students discuss the questions in groups.Then present their results in front of the class.
设计意图： 向学生引入新知识,使学生迅速进入新课学习的状态。
Step 2 Pre-reading Preview the new words. Give students 5 minutes to recite and check with partners, and finish the part of words of the learning plan. Do some exercises about these words.
设计意图：学习新单词，讲练结合
Step 3 While-reading 1.Read the lesson and tick the things that are mentioned in the lesson.Complete Exercise 1 in “Let’s Do It!”. 2.Students listen to some pieces of advice of Exercise 2 and number them in the correct order.Check the answers each other.
设计意图： 1.细读课文,检查学生对课文内容的理解情况。2.在听录音之前,一定要让学生把每条建议都读一遍,掌握听力策略很重要。
Step 4 Post-reading Introduce the language points. It’s impossible to do sth. 做某事是不可能的 learn from sb.向某人学习 learn from mistakes 从错误中吸取教训 stupid 是形容词，意为“愚蠢的；傻的”。 It was stupid of you to go there alone.
设计意图： 讲解知识点的目的是让学生掌握文中重点短语、句型及它们的用法。
