Step 1 Warming up 1. Free talk Does anyone remember what Danny’s hobby is Can you guess what Danny presents Ask several students to share their ideas.
2. Discuss the Think About It question. If there was a hobby show, what would you like to present
设计意图： 通过师生交流爱好展览上想要展示的物品，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
Step 2 Pre-reading 1. Learn to use the new words spin, performance, common and phrases up and down, parking lot, put…on its side, go through . He spins his yo-yo up and down. It’s a good performance. There are many cars in the parking lot. We went through the forest. 我们穿过森林。 It’s not a common box. It has something special in it. It means something is fragile（易碎的）. You should put this side up （此面朝上）. put…on its side 将……沿侧面放 2. Read the new words and phrases at least three times and try to remember them. spin v. （使）快速旋转 performance n. 表演，演出common adj. 普通的，一般的up and down 上上下下 parking lot 停车场 put …on its side 将……沿侧面放 go through 穿过 Teach the new words and phrases by using the pictures and making sentences. Then ask the students to read and remember them by themselves.

umbrella。第一次提到的单数可数名词前不定冠词，如：1） It’s a good performance.2） It’s not a common box.3. My hobby is in a big box.
定冠词 the 有两种读音[ ]，[ i]。[ ]+ 辅音音素开头的词，如：

What do they collect When did they begin their collections What do they love most about collecting Students can follow the example below. 1.Let the students work in groups. Instruct the students to complete the Part Four of Let’s Do It. 2.Then ask one person from each group to present about one of his or her group members’ collections without mentioning the collector’s name. See if the rest of the class can guess who the collector is. The first group correctly wins .
