Yesterday afternoon witnessed a meaningful activity organized by our Students’ Union. Some students of our school brought joy to the elderly who are left behind alone at home.
The activity was held in the community hall where the students and the elderly all enjoyed each other’s company. To begin with, the students delivered the concern and warmth to the elderly. Then they gave wonderful performances including dancing and singing. The friendship between the residents and the students was built.

lHaving a bird’s eye view of the entire resort/splendid , we felt our stress and anxiety for the unknown future give way to our expectations for the new year.
lWith the intention of receiving good luck and welcoming the new year, we students gathered at the foot of En Gu mountain and completed a rewarding climbing tour.
lDuring the climbing, we developed a firm resolution to work harder for a brighter future. The magnificent view from the top of the mountain will motivate us to strive forward in the coming year.
lAlmost two hours later, we all reached the top, where we enjoyed the most splendid view and everyone exclaimed their dreams to the sky, brightening hope in their hearts.

Climbing event to celebrate the new year
To welcome the new year, our school hosted a climbing activity on New Year’s Day.
The climb began at 10 a.m. and lasted for an hour and a half. We took part in a launching ceremony at the Happy Valley gate to warm up before climbing. We wrote our New Year’s resolutions on red ribbons and tied them to trees along the way. Reaching the top, we got a bird’s-eye view of the entire resort.
As “climbing high” represents growth and new accomplishments in Chinese culture, the event helped demonstrate the spirit of “striving upward” and express our wishes for a prosperous 2024.
