【辨析】still与yet
（1）still意为“还，仍然”，多用于肯定句，也可用于否定句和疑问句中，还可以修饰形容词或副词的比较级，意为“更加”，相当于even。例如：I still don’t understand it. 我仍然不明白它。
yet用作副词，意为“还，已经，仍然”，表示某事尚未完成，多用于否定句或者疑问中。
例如：Have they arrived yet 他们已经到了吗？

other（adj）另外的
【区分】other与else
1）else常用于修饰不定代词,疑问代词或疑问副词，也可以修饰all, much, little 等词，修饰这些词时，else要位于其后，作后置定语。例如：Would you try something else

other 作形容词，用以修饰名词或代词，作定语。
例如：Where are the other books 其他的书在哪里？
other作代词，可以单独作主语、宾语、表语，其复数形式为others.

三、重要语法归纳
现在进行时：
含义：现在进行时主要用于表示现在正在进行的动作，有时也可表示现阶段在进行的动作。
现在进行时的结构：be+v.- ing。 其中be(am; is; are）动词的形式要和主语保持一致。
例句：They are playing chess.他们正在下象棋。
动词的现在分词的变化规律：
1. 一般情况下，在动词原形后直接加-ing do doing buy buying
以不发音的字母e结尾的动词，去掉e,然后加-ing have having dance dancing
2.以“辅音字母+一个元音字母+一个辅音字母”结尾的重读闭音节动词，双写末尾辅音字母，然后加-ing swim swimming stop stopping shop shopping get getting
3.以ie结尾的动词变为现在分词时，要把ie变为y再加-ing。
例如：die dying, lie lying。
