Text 10
Hello, everyone! My name is Megan Cotter, I’d like to share my experience of going into business. I’m 19,
living with my parents and I don’t have a job. I want to set up my own small business, selling bottles and jars of
pepper sauce I made in the kitchen at home. At the beginning, I always thought that people might think I didn’t know
what I was doing, and they wouldn’t want to do business with me. After finishing high school, I had nothing specific
planned and I was feeling a bit lost. My mum advised me to start a business.(17) So I thought I’d have a go and
began my production with the name of “Delish Hot”. It is based on a sauce my grandma used to make, and I adapted
it slightly. There are various pepper sauce in the supermarket. With Delish Hot, the peppers, and other ingredients
are all grown at home by my father,(18) and it is just me who cook it up in the kitchen at home. You won’t find
any other sauce made quite like that. The places where I sell it — markets, festivals, fairs — that matters.(19)
Now, I’d need to rethink my business, I would go to university for management, and make my business into a
greater one.(20)

Tea)构成被动关系,应该使用 exported。

颖的渠道在推广它。本句的 and 和 now 都说明此句与前一句为并列关系,谓语动词的时态保持一致,因此
用 are promoting。
第 61 题答案为 which。本题考查定语从句的引导词。定语从句的先行词是整个主句 Liupao tea
products geographical indication now makes it a regional specialty,在非限制性定语从句中作主语。

One possible version:
Suddenly, Mary’s heart skipped a beat as she realized they had lost their way. Panic rushed through her, and
her hands became sweating. She turned to Jenny, her voice trembling, “Jenny, I think we’re lost. How are we
going to find our way back ” Jenny comforted her despite the sudden fear in her, “Hold my hand and let’s try to

bright North Star, stood as a beacon of hope in the darkness. (92 words)
Determined, the two friends set off, guided by the light of the North Star. Branches brushed against their
jackets, and the forest floor crackled beneath their feet, but their determination remained solid. Finally, they
emerged from the forest, greeted by the familiar city lights that twinkled in the distance. Exhausted but fulfilled,
they hugged each other tightly, celebrating their safe return. From that day on, whenever Mary looked up at the
night sky, the twinkling stars would remind her of that unforgettable night, a night when she found comfort and
courage. (77 words)
