By the end of this class, you will be able to:
1. acquire some basic information about San Francisco’s Chinatown;
2. master the structure and language features of the passage about an introduction to a city/town;
3. write an introduction to Taian;
4. be aware of the important part Chinatowns have played in spreading traditional Chinese culture.
Key points and difficult points :
1.Try to understand introductory discourse on the nature of tourism promotion
2.The article reflects the relationship between Chinese culture and American multiculturalism, and is an important component of American multiculturalism. Try to understand Chinatown is also a spiritual home for overseas Chinese and an important window for spreading Chinese culture. Foreigners can experience Chinese culture up close in Chinatown.

Step1: Guessing game

Clue1: Located in the east of TA City, it is an amazing city.
Clue2: It has a population of 1.3 million, the locals being hospitable and welcoming especially.

课后反思
通过本节课内容的研磨和课堂实录,我充分意识到在写作课堂上,老师要注意学生对于写作意图的认知,要创造一个积极的学习氛围,让学生和老师在一个融洽的状态中,学生愿意和老师一起去探索写作知识,从而顺利的完成写作,鼓励学生,肯定学生,这一点要一直贯彻始终。在本堂课中学生得到了较为充分的读写技巧训练,而且面比较广。课堂上,在我极力鼓励和表扬下,让学生自己去寻找文本的特点,从而学生在写作的时候都表达出了很好的语言和结构特点,课堂效果我比较满意。但是,经过自己的不断探索和向其他教师的虚心学习,尽管我已掌握了一定的教学经验,个人素质也得到很大提高,在今后的教学工作中我仍要着重做好以下几方面:
一、加强业务素质与修养。英语的学习成为人们日益需要的一种必备武器,我们每位任课教师都应不断充实自己、完善自己,用新思想、新观点武装自己不仅通过学习、自学提高英语能力,还要通过业务学习使自己成为一名称职的好老师,努力钻研新大纲、新教材,循序渐进地进行教育教学理论和美育心理理论的学习和运用,为更快地适应当前的教育形势还应积极参加教研教改活动,与其他老教师交流经验,取别人之长,补自己之短。
二、注重读写能力的培养。根据现行课标的要求,采取科学的教学方式,要求学生注重阅读,以便更好地锻炼学生写的能力,以便于形成良好的学习习惯,使不同类型的学生都得到良好的发展。
三、加强学法指导。在学习知识的过程中,提示学生用科学的学习方法。课前预习,上课认真听讲记好笔记,课后能主动复习,驾御遗忘规律,形成一定的记忆方法并注重知识的联系、比较,根据自身的遗忘规律重复记忆,重视复习的重要性。四、继续提高学习兴趣。通过优秀作文的展示、多变的写作句式,让学生在表达自己的时候可以发挥自己的不同优势,让知识以不同的模式呈现,进而让学生高效地掌握写作技能。
