Learn about Singapore from different aspects and learn to express the reasons for traveling to Singapore. At the same time, practice students’ writing ability.
Cultural Consciousness Through reading training, students can communicate with each other about the places they have traveled, increase their knowledge and broaden their horizons.
Thinking Quality Under the teacher’s guide, encourage students to accurately obtain and express information about interesting places and improve the logic, critical and creative thinking.

Step 1. Review & lead-in. Provide some pictures about Singapore and phrases about museums in last lesson to help Ss review what they’ve learned and enjoy the scenery. Let students turn over the pictures of Singapore and translate the phrases into English, such as “progress in such a rapid way”, “an unusual museum”, etc. Watch a video of Li Xianlong, the president of Singapore. T: Today we’ll learn about a relaxing and peaceful place. Actually, it’s a country. T: Look at the man, what languages can you hear Step 2. Pre-reading. Get to know something about the country, like the flag, the location, etc. T: What do you know about Singapore T: If you are going to travel around Singapore, what do you want to know Ss: Language, food, weather, transportation, hotel, places of interest, ...
