① arrive 30 minutes prior to the arrival time
and confirm the exact arrival time and place;
② if meeting the group at the airport, contact the
porter and inform him of the luggage area;
③ stand at a highly visible location at the exit, in full view of arriving tourists with a signboard;
④ meet the tour group and check the group code, number
of tourists and name of the national guide(全陪) or tour
leader(领队);
⑤ make sure that all the luggage has been claimed
(认领、领取) and transferred(送往) to the coach.
⑥ show the tour group to the coach and stand by the door
to politely greet tourists and confirm the number of
tourists;
⑦ greet tourists cordially(诚挚地) or deliver a welcoming speech; give a brief introduction to the local customs and location of the hotel; don’t forget to inform overseas tourists of the local time.

1. Your speech should be cordial(热忱的), friendly, sincere(真诚的), rich(丰富的言语), modest(适度的), gentle(温和的), humorous, expressive(富有表现力的), and well-tailored to the tastes of your guests (根据不同的游客对象定制不同的欢迎辞).

导游欢迎词写作的基本要求
“欢迎词”作为一次旅游的开始,它实在是太重
要了,它好比一场戏的“序幕”,一篇乐章的
“序曲”,一部作品的“序言”。中外游人都讲
究“第一印象”,而致欢迎词是给客人留下“第
一印象”的极佳机会,我们应当努力展示自己的
艺术风采,使“良好开端”成为“成功的一半”
规范化的“欢迎词”应包括以下五大要素。
(1)表示欢迎,即代表接待社、组团社向客
人表达欢迎之意。
(2)介绍人员,即介绍自己,介绍参加接待
的领导、司机和所有人员。
(3)预告节目,即介绍一下城市的概况和在
当地将游览的节目。  
(4)表示态度,即愿意为大家热情服务、努
力工作,确保大家满意。
(5)预祝成功,即希望得到游客支持与合
,努力使游览获得成功,祝大家愉快、健康
欢迎词切忌死板,切忌沉闷,如能风趣、自
然,会缩短与游客的距离,使大家很快成为
朋友,熟悉起来。另外,欢迎词注意汲取一
些谚语、名言,充满文采,会收到很好效果

local guide should get to know more about it either

(a) Local meeting and seeing off on time;
(b) Strictly following the schedule, provide good service of guidance and explanations in sightseeing, take good care of the arrangements of food and hotel accommodations, shopping and entertainment.
(c) Take appropriate measures in handling
relationships with various circles and dealing with 、problems aptly.
