1. Turn on the blender. 打开搅拌机。
turn on 意为打开，通常指打开电灯、电视、收音机等电器的开关。
例：李老师走进教室，打开了灯。

2. Cut up the bananas! 切碎香蕉！
cut up 切碎，粉碎。若宾语是名词，可将宾语放到短语之间或后边。如果宾语是代词，则必须放短语中间。

3. Pour the milk into the blender. 把牛奶倒进搅拌机里。
pour… into… 把……倒入……

5.祈使句：

祈使句的否定形式：Don't+动词原形

Forget为动词，意为“忘记；忘却”；其反义词是remember,意为“记得”。
辨析：forget to do sth. 与forget doing sth.
forget to so sth. 意为“忘记去做某事”，表示事情还么做。

Forget doing sth. 表示“忘记曾经做过某事”，强调忘记了已经做过的事情。

7.how many 与how much 辨析
How many 询问数量多少，后面跟可数名词复数形式。How much询问数量多少，后面跟不可数名词。How much还有“多少钱”的意思，用来询问价格，谓语动词的单复数取决于主语。

A good place to buy a pumpkin for cooking is a fruit market, farmers’ market or roadside stand.
The big pumpkins are not good for cooking. You’d better leave the huge pumpkins to the kids for Halloween carving. If you can find a small, flat orange pumpkin, it will be sweeter. It’ll be the best pumpkin for eating. Do you know how to cook a pumpkin
First, wash off all of the dirt, and then put your pumpkin on a cutting board. You need to use a large, sharp knife to safely cut the pumpkin in half. Scoop out all of the seeds and put them aside to toast later.

To bake: Put the pumpkin chunks on a baking tray and bake at 325 degrees until the pulp is soft. It usually takes you about an hour. Remove the pulp from the tray. In that way, you finish the baking process.

My interest in cooking started when I was 11, partly thanks to my mother. She didn’t really like cooking and when she did cook, I didn’t like her food. Once I was watching something about cooking on TV and I thought I could do this, so I went to the bookstore and looked for the biggest cookbook I could find.
During a year, I had produced most of its recipes(食谱) and was ready for a bigger challenge(挑战). I wanted to create my own dishes and I started cooking for more people than just my family. To my joy my parents allowed me to build a test kitchen. I did much cooking to test my dishes in it and my skill improved quickly.
