I .教学内容

II .课时目标
学生通过本课时的学习,能够:
通过观看视频,获取视频主要内容,了解名作《清明上河图》的艺术特色与价值。
了解欣赏中国卷轴式画作的顺序和焦点,提高艺术审美情趣。
通过问题研讨,感受艺术作品的独特魅力和价值,增强对中华优秀传统文化的自豪感,坚定文化自信。
III . 教学思路
学生在观看视频前,先浏览标题,调用已有知识,谈论对《清明上河图》的了解。接着,学生预判 Before You Watch 里的句子的正误,带着检查答案的目的观看完整视频。然后,学生通过反复观看视频,理解其中细节信息,完成相关表格的填写。完成观看后,学生展开讨论,深入思考艺术本身的价值,理解《清明上河图》的艺术魅力,提升欣赏和评价艺术作品的能力。
IV .教学过程
Activity 1: Share your knowledge about the Chinese painting Qingming Shang He Tu .
Look at the Chinese painting Qingming Shang He Tu , or Along the River During the Qingming Festival. Discuss the following questions .
●What can be seen on the painting
●What else do you know about the painting
Read the brief opening introduction on page 12. Then brainstorm what other information you want to know about this masterpiece .
设计说明:让学生观赏画作《清明上河图》,并通过问题引导学生展开讨论,目的是激活学生的背景知识。让学生根据视频介绍文字,漫谈还想了解关于该艺术瑰宝的哪些方面,旨在引起学生的观看期待。 Activity 2: Get prepared for viewing .
Read the five statements in Before You Watch .
Translate each statement and discuss unfamiliar words or collocations .
Work in pairs to try judging each statement .

Activity 3: Watch the video to check the answers .
Watch the video for the first time to check the answers in Before You Watch .
After watching it , check the answers with the whole class .

Go through the instruction of Activity 2 in While You Watch and answer the question : In what way / order shall we appreciate this 5- metre - long painting
Observe the table from right to left and predict what information the table features .( details displayed in the painting , that is , descriptions of specific scenes in it )
Infer what kind of notes to take while viewing .( descriptive words , like adjectives and nouns about human activities or attractions )
Watch the specific part about the details in the painting twice and take notes in the table .
Swap notes with a partner and revise the answers .
Check the answers by watching the six extracts of the video one by one .

Activity 5: Read the video script.
Read the video script and underline the nouns about people and things .

Activity 6: Watch the video for the cultural note .
Watch the last part again and discuss the following questions .

●According to the speaker , what is this painting ' s great appeal What does it mean
Discuss answers with a partner and then check them with the whole class .

Activity 7: Reflect on the cultural note conveyed by the video.
Look at some close shots of the painting Qingming Shang He Tu . Observe the clothes people wear , typical festive activities , and other city livelihood scenes depicted in the painting .
Describe what you observed in the painting and discuss the following questions in groups of four .
Why were so many people and things painted in the artwork
●Was this a popular theme in the Western painting styles we have learnt in this unit Why or why not
●Do you agree with the statement " This painting ' s great appeal is that it provides us with a look into ordinary people ' s lives in the Song Dynasty "
●Who do you think this paining is most appealing to 3.Voice your opinions to the class .

Assignment
