Using Language(Talk about works of art)教学设计
I .教学内容
Using Language ( Talk about works of art )
II .课时目标
学生通过本课时的学习,能够:
通过听获取关于中国水墨动画艺术的相关知识,了解中国传统艺术形式,提升传承中华优秀传统文化的意识和能力。
进行主题展示,清晰地表达自己对某种艺术形式的理解和鉴赏。 III .教学思路
学生先观察水墨动画的图片或观看一个水墨动画电影片段,激活背景知识,为听做好准备。接下来学生通过听大意、听细节、推断说话人的目的和态度等活动,训练听力微技能,理解听力文本的主要信息,在内容上为输出活动作辅垫。然后学生分析听力文本的结构特点和话语标记,为接下来的口语表达活动搭建形式上的脚手架。最后学生以小组为单位,通过梳理资料、分工写作,合作完成演讲任务。
IV .教学过程
Activity 1: Share your knowledge about ink wash animation film .
Look at the three pictures on page 6 and guess the meaning of " ink wash animation film ".
Watch a short extract from an ink wash animation film and answer the questions .
● Have you ever seen any of them before
● What do you know about them
● How do you feel about them
设计说明:让学生观察图片、观看电影片段,目的是激活他们的背景知识,引起他们对于水墨动画这一新话题的兴趣,为听力活动作准备。 Activity 2: Describe the pictures .
Describe the pictures using the words in the box . Then try matching the pictures with the film names in the box .
Check the answers and explain the meaning of new words .
Read aloud the words a few times to get familiar with their pronunciation .
设计说明:让学生用方框内的关键词描述图片内容,然后将图与电影名称进行匹配,目的是为听力活动做好核心词汇铺垫,减少生僻语言带来的听力障碍,使学生形成听前期待。
Activity 3: Listen for gist.
Underline the key word ( s ) in each item in Activity 2 on page 6, and try predicting their order .
Listen for the first time and put the items in the correct order .3. Check the answers .
设计说明:让学生对演讲的几个要点进行排序,旨在帮助学生获取演讲内容的大意,并引导他们从宏观上把握主题演讲的结构。
Activity 4: Listen for the specific information.
Listen to the first two parts of the presentation and complete the following table .

The Cowboy ' s Flute
Check the answers . Then answer the first two questions in Activity 3 on page 6.
Listen to the third part and take down the verbs in the description of the story . Then use the notes to try retelling the story to a partner .
Listen to the fourth part twice and fill in the blanks with key words .
Listen to the last part and answer the following questions .
●What caused film studios to stop making ink wash animation films after the late 1980s
●What has helped new artists to make such films since 2016
●Does the speaker welcome this change in 2016 How do you know
设计说明:通过适当分解听力文本,针对各部分以不同形式的活动考查学生的理解,旨在降低听力难度,引导学生关注细节,把我演讲的核心信息,从而训练学生的听力为技能,如听取数字、关注因果关系、提取评价性语言等。
Activity 5: Discuss the speaker' s attitude and purpose.
1.Discuss the following questions in groups of four .
●Why do you think the speaker made this talk
●What is the speaker ' s attitude towards the ink wash animation style
●How do ocoercds , aspects mentioned , and the conclusion part in the speech .)
●Do you agree with the speaker How do you feel about this kind of film
2.Share your opinions with the class .
设计说明:本活动主要引导学生从探究演讲者的演讲目的入手,分析演讲者的措辞和态度,以及如何达成演讲目的﹣﹣唤起听众对我国水墨动画片现状的重视,引发听众思考如何担负起应有的责任来传承与发扬中华艺术。让学生也一起思考这些问题,有助于提升学生的思维品质和文化意识。
Activity 6: Discuss how the speaker achieved his purpose .
Review the structure of the presentation and think about the relationship between each part .

Description of the work of art
Review of the work of art
Conclusion ( explanation of the decline )
Go through the Listening Tip and the signpost markers listed in Activity 4 on page 7.
Listen again and tick the signpost markers that you hear .
Read the complete version of the script . Try making a summary of the techniques mentioned above , like the overall structure , the use of signpost markers , language features in telling a story , etc .

Activity 7: Give a presentation about an ink wash animation film .
1 . Discuss and choose one of the three ink wash animation films .
2.Assign each member with one writing task by using the following table .
Student Paragraph - writing task
A Introduce the background of the work of art .
B Describe the work of art .
C Give your review of the work of art .
D Write the introduction and conclusion of the speech .
Read the Writing Tips ( Checklist ).
Accomplish individual tasks before putting them together to form a logical and coherent
Give the presentation to the class . presentation .
Use above checklist to give feedback on each group ' s presentation .
设计说明:本活动让学生从听力文本的三部动画片中选择一部作为介绍对象,然后每个人根据写作技巧提示,分别负责一个部分的撰写任务,最后向全班口头介绍该作品。该活动为每个学生提供了写作和口头表达的机会,调动了学生的积极性,锻炼了学生的协作能力,让学生切实应用本课所学。
Assignment
Revise the presentation .
Design a poster based on the presentation and then put it up in the classroom .
设计说明:让学生根据课堂上其他小组的反馈意见完善演讲内容,然后在此基础上充分发挥想象力,设计出图文并茂的海报,并在班级墙报上张贴展示,目的是引导学生充分利用课堂活动,进一步分工合作,继续体现小组成员的创造力,激发学生英语学习的兴趣。
