Rainforests of the Atsinanana
The Rainforests of the Atsinanana comprise six national parks distributed along the eastern part of the island.
These relict forests are critically important for maintaining ongoing ecological processes necessary for the survival of Madagascar’s unique biodiversity, which reflects the island’s geological history.

When in a foreign country, tour leaders shoulder great responsibilities. They must ensure smooth Customs clearance, take care of outbound tourists’ personal and financial safety, and negotiate with local tour guides for a pleasant trip overseas.
They are just like walking encyclopedia that seems to know everything concerning Customs Entry formalities of different countries, foreign currency rates, and postal procedures, whatever. Should there be any troubles, they are supposed to be on the spot.
Background Information
For international entry, tour leaders should help passengers go through several procedures.
Here is a 5-step checklist that explains the procedures.
Background Information
Make sure you arrive at the airport two hours before departure. Please don’t forget airport is one of the busiest places in the world. You need to check in at the appropriate airline counter in the floor International Departures Lobby.
Carefully check the name of your airline and tour group. Present your passport and ticket to the attendant and check in your luggage, you will be given a luggage tag and a boarding pass which bears your name, boarding gate，boarding time and seat number.
Step 1 Airline Check-in
Please fill in the necessary information on the quarantine questionnaire and submit at the Quarantine counter.
Please inform the quarantine office or report to the health consultation room if you suffer any symptoms such as fever or diarrhea
Step 2 Quarantine
To make it convenient for passengers to go through customs during arrival and departure, the airport will usually set up the Red Channel and Green Channel examination systems. Passengers (with the exception of those holding diplomatic passports or having Customs exemption), please fill in the “Passengers Baggage Declaration Form”.
Passengers with nothing to declare go to the Green Channel marked “NOTHING TO DECLARE”, otherwise the Red Channel marked “GOODS TO DECLARE”.
Step 3 Customs
Here you present your passport and your boarding pass to the immigration officer.
Step 4 Immigration Clearance
Once again make sure you have taken all metal objects out of your pockets or purse. You can either place these in your hand carry bag or in a plastic tray that the security people will provide. You also have to remove your shoes and place them in the plastic tray along with your laptop computer. Make sure you adhere to the currency export limits for both Chinese Yuan and foreign currencies. After you have gone through the metal detector you can collect your bags and the tray with your personal effects, and then proceed into the departure area.
