Zheng He was China's greatest sea sailor(航海家). It is strange that he 41 in the mountains.He was born around 1371 in Yunnan province. Nothing makes you feel better than a bowl of warm porridge, especially in the cold weather.
Years ago, people from across the world got together in Scotland for the World Porridge MakingCompetition. The competitors could only use three materials in the porridge—oatmeal(燕麦片), waterand salt.
So is oat porridge, a cheap and health y meal often eaten for breakfast in the west just the same aszhou in China.
Both zhou and oat porridge have long histories as foods. But you can do more with zhou than oatporridge. In China, you can find shops that only sell zhou!From millet(小米) to rice and other grains(谷物), you can have sweet and delicious zhou in these shops. And many things, like meat orvegetables, can be added in zhou for breakfast, lunch or dinner. But in the west, it's different. Goodluck finding a shop that only makes porridge.
