从第一段的“And while not all of us are nail-biters, most of us do have
a habit we'd like to kick.So what's the best way to break one ”可知“a nail-biting habit”是为了
依据第三段的“One of the most effective ways to manage behavior is to
identify these locations or times of day.
Helpful(有帮助的),Annoying(让人生气的), Time-consuming(费时的)都不合适。
根据第一段的最后两句 “…most of us do have a habit we'd like to
kick. So what's the best way to break one. So what's the best way to break one ”可得出答案。
选 A。根据第三段“Computers were then taught using computer vision and
machine learning to automatically detect these clouds from satellite images, with almost
100 percent accuracy, in less than a minute.
risk and planning company ClimateAI uses a technique to downscale global weather
forecasts to a local scale, cutting down on costs and computing power. ” 再排除 A。
根据空前内容“How to stop being angry ”以及下文三个段落的中心句可
知该题选择“Here are ways that you can counter the causes of anger ”,本文是在提出解决问
根据中心句“Change your attitude to the way the world works.
“You have to accept that sometimes things do go wrong and that people are not always lovely. ”
{#{QQABbQqAggAoQIIAABgCQQUiCAMQkBGACIoOhAAEMAAAyQFABAA=}#}
F “ Try to
accept that other people do behave in ways that will make you frustrated and angry ”符合题意。
38.G. Martin Luther King 和 Gandhi是两个来证明“…anger can be directed in
such a way as to achieve great things”的例子,选项中的 they both是用来指代两人的。
Anger management used to be promoted as a way of dealing with anger, but all
that happens is that the anger is held back.”可推断出作者不赞成 control the anger,依据“A
much better way of facing up to anger is to identify the root cause ”,作者提出了更好的方法。
40.D. “Make changes to your lifestyle and attitudes, and you will stop being
angry.
you must recognize that anger is something you can control. ”

{#{QQABbQqAggAoQIIAABgCQQUiCAMQkBGACIoOhAAEMAAAyQFABAA=}#}
Hutchinson
醒来后的反应和动作,如急救和拨打救援电话;Hatchey最终脱险;
2.第二段要写清楚 Hachey对整件事情的回忆与感受;重点突出对 Bruno的感激与欣赏;
Unexpectedly, Bruno ran back to the bedroom and tried every means to awaken
Hutchinson. He barked and jumped on and off the bed. When that didn't work, he attacked
Hutchinson's fleshy skin between her fingers. Finally, Hutchinson woke up and was
immediately led into the living room, only to discover Hatchey passed out in the chair. She had
almost stopped breathing and was apparently in danger. Without hesitation, Hutchson lifted her
head up so her mother could breathe, and dialed 911 on her cell. The ambulance finally arrived
and Hatchey was rushed to the hospital. It turned out that she suffered a stroke and would have
died without the quick response.
A year later, Hachey finally fully recovered. Recalling the experience, she was convinced
that being found so quickly after the attack was the key factor in helping her survive. She owed
it to Bruno, saying that it was he that saved her life. “I never imagined he would save my life
when I adopted him. I do believe the animal will pick us and I am lucky he chose me. ” Hatchey
gazed at Bruno and stroked his fur gently, smiling contentedly. Any act of kindness is its own
reward, no matter how small it seems.

W: We’ve arranged the dining area. Your guests can sit in groups of 10. We ’ve arranged 15
tables. Is that enough
M: Yeah, most guest confirmations are back. That seems right. When does the hotel need a final
number
W: They’ll need a deposit before August 10th, that is to say a month before the wedding,
but we can make small adjustments after and we ’ll reconfirm everything on the day. Will you
be too busy on the day
M: Of course! My Aunt Sally has offered to organize things then.
Text 8
W: Hello, This is Amy. I’m calling about the second-hand dining table that you ’re selling. I
noticed your advertisement online this morning. It’s such a nice wooden table. Is it still
available
M: Hi, yes, it is! The table is still in good condition, but I’m leaving my current apartment
this weekend, and my new one is a lot smaller. I just won’t have enough space for it.
W: That’s a shame. I’m definitely interested in buying it, but would you mind holding on to it
for a few days I’d like to take a look at it later this week.
M: Well, I’ve had calls all morning. And as I mentioned in the ad, I ’d like to find a buyer before
this Friday.
W:Oh, I understand. In that case, I’ll try to go over to your place with my friend this
afternoon. Would you mind giving me your address

attend. Could you come over tomorrow afternoon I ’ll text you my address later.
Text 9
W: Hey there! Jack, what are you doing with the wall
M: Oh, our art teacher thought I was good with a brush, so she asked me to paint a landscape
on this old canteen wall. It’s not a masterpiece or anything.
W: What a wonderful picture! It’s definitely making the place look more cheerful. It reminds me

a bit of a famous artist’s work.
M: Haha, now that you mention it! I just wish it were that easy! Would you like to join me in
finishing it
W: All right! Let’s impress all the teachers and students with the breathtaking beauty! If only
we could brighten up the food here too!
M: The cook does her best with what she has, but there ’s only so much you can do with hot
dogs, ground beef, and bread.
W: I just wish there were more fish and rice dishes. So, what are you planning to perform for
the upcoming talent show next week
M: Honestly speaking, I’d rather not get involved in it; I think others would prefer the stage and
spotlight.
W: Seriously, we should. Maybe we could paint a backdrop for the stage! That’s what we are
good at.
M: Ah yes, another way to share my art! And definitely better than hearing me sing!
Text 10
