It’s the spiciest food that I’ve ever had. On the second day, I visited the Leshan Giant Buddha. I was surprised at how high it is: 71 metres! I wondered how people built it in ancient times. After that, I enjoyed Sichuan Opera that is famous for magical face changing. When I watched the show, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The last day was also the most interesting day for me. I volunteered at a panda base, collecting bamboo, feeding pandas and cleaning up their yards. Xi’an is one of China’s most important historical cities. It is the capital city of Shaanxi province in central-northwest China. Now approximately 13 million people live in this city. It was the start of the ancient Silk Road and now a hub for the Belt and Road Initiative (一带一路). The 14th National Games (第14届全运会) has just held in Xi'an.

Xi’an is a paradise for foodies. There is a lot of classic snacks. Rou Jia Mo and Liangpi are very important to Xi’an people. Rou Jia Mo is a kind of Chinese-style sandwich made of flatbread and chopped stewed meat. While Liangpi is a kind of noodle-like cold dish made of wheat or rice flour with spicy and sour seasonings.
