Dear Tom，
I'm glad to share a truly fascinating travel experience that I had during my last summer holiday with you.
On July 7, my parents and I took a bus to Leshan, Sichuan Province, which is famous for the giant stone Buddha. The Buddha is literally big. Looking up at the large head and down at the large feet, I felt I was so small. The next day, we climbed Mount Emei where the beautiful scenery on the mountain took our breath away. There are many old temples and wild monkeys. At dusk, we made our way back. We were all tired, but our trip to Leshan was really unforgettable. If I have time, I am bound to pay a visit to Leshan again.

Today is National Day. My foreign friend Mary and I visited some places of interest in Qingdao.
Early in the morning, we started off by car. We first went to the attractive seaside, where we took photos, walked on the sand and swam in the sea. Then, we visited the famous Beer Castle, from which we learned more about this modern city. There we had delicious barbecue seafood as lunch. After lunch, we drove to Mountain Lao. It is a most beautiful place, and on the mountain, we enjoyed the wonderful scenery of green trees and white clouds. How time flies! At about 5 o'clock, we drove back home happily.
Although tired, we felt happy, because we had an unforgettable National Day.

With a history of over 2, 000 years, it runs like a huge dragon across North China. And now it's a world- famous tourist attraction. As an old Chinese saying goes, "A man who hasn't been to the Great Wall is not a true man," it's almost a must for foreigners to visit in China.
If you come to visit the Great Wall, you'd better come a day before climbing the Wall and avoid weekends or holidays, when it is too crowded with tourists, so as to enjoy its beauty more peacefully. Moreover, 1 can be your guide if you like.

Located in northwest of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou is the most beautiful, and also the most prosperous city. Hangzhou's history goes back over 2,200 years to the Qin Dynasty which first brought in the rule of County System, it was once the capital of the State of Wu Yue and the Southern Song Dynasty.It is a very popular tourist draw that receives more visitors each year. The climate is mild in summer and autumn, meaning it is a good time to visit. Traditionally, visitors explore Hangzhou through the West Lake which is a symbol of the city. Sudi is a key site, being the centre of the
West Lake, where the great poet Sushi created a famous poem. Other famous sites include Lingyin Temple,Leifei pagoda and Xixi National Wetland Park, to name but a few. Visitors can also spend hours just exploring the interesting sights, smells, and sounds of Hangzhou. Hangzhou is an important part of the diverse culture of China. They allow visitors to experience unique Chinese culture and pleasant scenery.
The Visit to Wuhan
I had a three-day trip to Wuhan with my family on May Day.
We went there by high-speed train. It took us about two hours. The weather was wonderful. On the first day, We went to Moshan Park. We took quite a few photos there. At noon we had some
local food in a famous restaurant. The next day, we visited the Yellow Crane Tower. It was so crowded that we spent a long time getting into it. On the last day, we went to Haichang Ocean Park, we saw
different kinds of animals. In the evening, we went back home. It's wonderful to spend our vacation there.
It is hard for me to describe the wonderful experience in Wuhan. The only way is to go there and enjoy it by yourself.
武汉之行
我和家人五一去武汉旅行了三天。
我们乘高铁去那里，大约花了两个小时。那里天气很好。第一天，我们去了磨山公园，在那里拍了不少照片。中午，我们在一家著名的餐馆吃了一些当地食物。第二天，我们参观了黄鹤楼，那里太挤了，我们花了很长时间才进去。最后一天，我们去了海昌海洋公园，看到了不同种类的动物。晚上，我们回到了家。在那里度假真是太棒了。

Knowing from your last email that you plan to let your 8-year-old daughter learn a traditional art in China as an interest, I'm more than glad to offer my advice for your reference.
As a big fan of Chinese calligraphy myself，I'll recommend it without hesitation because it's a natural combination of beauty, strength, history and technique. In order to learn it well, first and foremost, one may need to devote himself/herself to long hours of practice.Second, signing up for a calligraphy course would be a wise choice, which would help her study in a systematic way.
