forget doing sth. 表示“忘记曾经做过某事”，事情已经做过了。
eg：I’m sorry I forgot to return the library book.
对不起，我忘记归还图书馆的书了。（书没有还）
Mary often forgets to bring her pen. 玛丽经常忘记带她的钢笔。
He forgets turning the light off. 他忘记他已经关灯了。
He forgot going to Shanghai with his parents when he was five years old.

【易混辨析】forget与leave
forget 表示“遗忘某物”时，常指头脑中记不清某物/某事，其后通常不与表示地点的词语连用。
leave 表示“遗忘某物”时，常指把某物忘在某地，其后通常接地点状语。
eg：I leave my schoolbag at home.
我把书包落在家里了。
I forget my schoolbag.
我忘带书包了。

danger作不可数名词，意为“危险”。其形容词为dangerous，意为“危险的”。常用短语：be in (great) danger处于(极大)危险中，be out of danger脱离危险;
eg：They saved him from danger. 他们使他脱离了危险。

The wounded soldier is out of danger now.
那个受伤的士兵现在脱离危险了。

cut动词，意为“砍；切”。短语cut down意为“砍伐；砍倒”; cut down 为“动词+副词”型短语，后接名词作宾语时，名词放在副间 down 之前或之后都可以；后接代词作宾语时，代词只能放在 cut 和 down 之间。
eg：Don’t cut down trees.= Don’t cut trees down. 不要砍伐树木。
The tree was dead, so he cut it down. 这棵树死了，所以他把它砍倒了。
