U3 Assessing Your Progress教案
教材分析：
本课时为复习课，通过两篇短文填空，引导学生回顾本单元所学内容，并根据所学设计完成一次调查报告项目。重点表达主要涉及运动价值观、运动兴趣与偏好等话题，如failure, stress等。重点句式主要涉及邀请他人参与体育活动等话题。本文的价值取向在于学生通过学习，回顾梳理本单元主要内容，引导学生进行自我评价与反思。
教学策略与设计说明：
采用情境教学法(Situational teaching method), 借助对话语境，引导学生感受复习语法点，达成教学步骤设计目的。
采用任务型教学法(Task-based language teaching)，布置活动任务，设置活动目的，引导学生完成相关任务，达成各教学步骤设计目的。
教学目标：
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
语言能力上，巩固复习运动价值观、运动兴趣与偏好等话题的重要表达，如failure, stress等，习得涉及未来计划、确认行程等话题的重要句式，如附加疑问句等。引导学生复习本单元重要单词，并能根据上下文选择适当形式进行填空。
思维品质上，了解不同调查类型的特点，结合具体情况，选择合适的调查方法与结果呈现方式，有理有据的进行分析，形成调查报告。
文化意识上，了解多元的体育精神，形成正确合理的体育价值观。
学习能力上， 理解复习的重要性，了解采取自我监控策略，学会在阶段性学习后能够进行自我评价。
教学重点：
学生通过单元复习后，能够运用所学知识，进行课题调查，形成调查报告。
教学难点：
学生了解自我监督策略，学会进行自我评价，并能在评价的基础上，对下一阶段的学习进行调整与规划。

教材、多媒体课件、黑板与粉笔。

Step 2 Fill in the blanks: Ss are asked to fill in the blanks with suitable words in the list. T could lead Ss to check the part of speech of the words and the strategies for filling in the blanks. Ss and T then check the answers one by one together. 引导学生阅读，练习中引导学生进行重点单词的复习与运用。 5’ IW
Step 3 Discuss in pairs: Ss are asked to discuss in pairs and think about the following questions. What is your favorite sports What do you learn from it Suggested answers: I like doing yoga the most. It teaches how to relax and relive myself, which helps a lot in dealing the stress and making a balance in life when I am under pressure. … 引导学生在阅读的基础上进行思考，提升学生文化意识。 5’ GW
Step 4 Fill in the blanks: Ss are asked to fill in the blanks with appropriate tag questions or answers. T could lead Ss to review the form and function of the grammatical points in the first place. T leads Ss to check the answers together. 复习本单元语法重点附加疑问句，提升学生语言能力。 5’ IW
Step 5 Discuss in pairs: Ss are asked to watch the video and discuss the questions what we should talk about in an interview. After discussion, T could ask several Ss to share their ideas and lead Ss to summarize the key points we should pay attention to in making an invitation. 引导学生总结如何礼貌得体的邀请他人，提高学生文化意识。 5’ GW/IW/CW 引导学生了解自我监控策略，并进行自我评价，提升学生学习能力。
Step 6 Act it out: Ss are asked to act out the conversation with the use of the information and principles learned before. 5’ GW
Step 7 Reflecting: Ss are asked to take a look at the progress they made by filling in the blanks. 引导学生了解自我监控策略，并进行自我评价，提升学生学习能力。 5’ GW/IW
Step 8 Project: Ss are asked to work in pairs to think about the questions they want to ask in doing a survey. T should remind Ss of the tips in designing the questions. 引导学生进行头脑风暴，提出调查问题，为下一步活动做准备。 5’ GW
Step 9 Think about it: Ss are asked to think about how we should investigate the issue with the questions. Then T share two forms of doing a survey. In terms of questionnaires, T should lead Ss to think about other forms of questions such as multiple choices. As for interviews, T should lead Ss to think about the preparations made for an interview such as when to interview, where to interview. 引导学生进行调查活动第一步，拓展调查方式的不同思路，为下一步活动做准备。 5’ IW/CW
Step 10 Project: Ss are given the task to choose some classmates and ask the questions to collect their answers. Ss are also encouraged to think about other forms of data collection except from charts. T should lead them to think about the forms and their functions. 学生整合单元所学内容，进行调查，拓展调查结果呈现的不同思路。 10’ CW/GW
Step 11 Project: Ss are asked to use the data to write up the survey results. T could share a list of the elements Ss should pay attention to. 引导学生思考如何把调查结果转告为报告，为学生创意写作搭建脚手架，提升学生思维品质。 5’ GW
Step 12 Project: T shows a sample for the report, gives several hints to Ss and introduce the basic structure for a report. 引导学生进行语篇层面的创意写作。 20’ GW
Step 13 Homework: Ss are asked to work the report out and read some reports from other groups. Think about the following questions. 1. What other results have they discovered 2. Are they the same -If yes, what does the similarities indicate -If no, why does such differences occur
