一、定义：
过去进行时
表示过去某个时刻或某一时间段正在进行或发生的动作。
学习理解类活动
二、时间标志词：
then, at this/that time yesterday, the whole morning, at 9:00 yesterday morning, all night等；或以when, while 引导的时间状语从句。
Grammar
1. 基本结构：主语 + was /were + doing +其他。
2. 否定形式：主语 + wasn’t /weren’t +doing +其他。
三、构成：

3. 一般疑问句：Was /Were +主语 + doing +其他？
肯定回答：Yes, 主语 + was /were.
否定回答：No, 主语 + wasn’t /weren’t.
4. 特殊疑问句：特殊疑问词+ was /were +主语 + doing +其他？

昨天下午五点学生们正在画画。

昨天晚上七点他正在做什么？
1. 过去进行时主要用来表示过去某一时刻或某一段时间内正在进行
的动作或存在的状态。此时句中往往有表示过去的时间状语 at
that moment，at that time，this time yesterday，at nine o’clock
last night等。
四、过去进行时的用法：

昨天晚上这个时候你在做什么？
At that moment, we were having dinner together.
那个时候，我们正在一起吃晚饭。
2. 表示一个过去的动作发生时或发生之后，另一个过去的动作
正在进行。

你打电话时我正在写信。
While we were having breakfast, John was talking on the phone.
我们在吃早饭的时候，约翰在打电话。
3. 表示两个过去的动作同时进行，这时可用连接词while连接。
4. 有时没有时间状语，需要根据语境体会。

从前一个中国人正在沙漠里旅行。
5. 常用于介绍故事背景。
A mother wolf was looking for food near the river.
一只母狼在河边觅食。
6. 表示从过去某一时间看将要发生的动作。常表示过去“渐渐，快
要，越来越，马上等”，常见的此类动词有 come，go，start，
begin，leave，arrive，get，become，turn等非持续性动词。偶
尔有些持续性动词如do，stay，take等也可表示过去“将要”。

7. 过去进行时常与always等连用，表示过去反复发生的行为动
作，带有赞美、厌烦等感彩。

从句的动词 动作 从句的时态
while 延续性动词 同时发生 进行时
when 延续性动词，非延续性动词 可同时，也可一前一后 一般现在时或一般过去时
1. 一般过去时表示在过去某个时间发生过的动作或存在的
状态。
2. 现在进行时表示某一动作正在发生。
六、一般过去时态、现在进行时与过去进行时的比较：

许多下载我的课件的老师可能都遇到了同样的麻烦：听力操作比较麻烦。好多老师在给学生播放听力时，习惯于点击课件上的“小喇叭”图标，在使用我的课件时也用了同样的方法，结果却遇到了前所未有的麻烦，不知怎么办才好。下面我给大家讲解一下我的课件中的听力操作方法：
我的音频是嵌入式音频，所以老师们在使用我的课件的时候，不需要把课件和听力音频放到同一文件夹中，只需要课件就可以了。播放听力时，只需在其他任何地方按鼠标左键就可以了（不要点击小喇叭），就跟其他动画操作一样。用翻页笔的老师，只需要按翻页笔的“下一页”即可；如果想再听一遍，先按翻页笔的“上一页”，再按“下一页”就可以重复听。听完后如果按“下一页”，答案就会出现。
简单的一句话，我的课件中要播放听力，只需下翻页就可以。跟其他动画操作一样。
