一、教学内容
二、整体设计思路
Module 10 On the radio 的话题是广播,属于英语课标中“人与自我”主题中有关“职业启蒙,职业精神”的子主题内容之一。第一课时Unit1课型为听说课。从新单词的学习和检测为入手,引导学生在情境中感知体验本课的新授词汇的学习。再从视频的广播节目,从谈论不同类型的新闻节目入手,让学生对新闻工作产生好奇并通过听力对话进行一次真实的电台之旅,揭开新闻工作的神秘面纱并了解新闻人的辛苦工作。通过听对话,抓取细节信息,并让学生有感情地朗读和观看课文视频。从画参观电视台的路线图和复述课文内容,并针对兴趣爱好,转化到梦想职业的追求进行一个访问活动,让学生在感知体验中成长,将知识内化真正达到用语言进行交际的目的。第一课时分为三个基本的教学环节:听前输入、听中训练和听后口语输出。在完成所设置的有关广播的任务后,学生们不仅可以开阔视野,也树立正确的职业选择观。
第二课时Unit2课型为阅读课。课文的语言浅显,贴近生活。按照学生认知水平和能力,从学生实际生活经验出发,先从一段电台的节目录音作为导入,让学生在真实情境中感受电台广播的魅力,同时引出课题,让学生全方位的理解课题中“in person”的涵义。在阅读前通过图片和英文句子,引导学生通过推测和同义词转换熟悉新词。为了突出教学重点,在教学中始终将阅读活动贯穿全文,采用了速读抓文章主脉络,分段读掌握插叙的叙事方式,精读掌握作者经历信息的阅读训练方法引导学生完成教学任务。同时通过设计不同的题型,包括主旨大意题、细节信息题、推断预测题等,由易到难,逐级铺设台阶,让学生带着任务阅读,帮助学生掌握相关的阅读技巧。通过阅读技巧的指导和充分的练习,整理出思维导图,指导学生进行小组合作,根据提示复述课文。之后让学生进行深层次的思考谈论,并对第一课时最后的提问做出回答。此课时分为三个基本的教学环节:读前输入、读中训练、读后活动。在完成所设置的阅读任务后,通过视频引导学生进行批判性思考,畅所欲言,谈自己的收获,实现情感目标教育。在作业设计中,通过合理创作教材以外相关话题人物的素材练习,引导学生对本话题进行更多的知识面拓展。同时,设计为第三课时和第四课时准备的思考题,为下一步学习进行铺垫。
第三课时Unit3课型为复习及语法综合语言运用课。向学生引入具体句子,独立完成之后再小组合作通过观察、分析找出规律,归纳语法规则。不仅强化了宾语从句的正确使用同时为本课拓展延伸的文章理解做好铺垫。然后再反复操练,培养学生的语法感,使学生在感知和体验中成长,在交际中自然流露。从A7中Bernard的成功经历到Around the world改变非洲人们生活的Trevor Baylis的事例,让学生感知任何成功都来源于不懈的努力及对于本职工作的热爱。此外,本课分为三个基本的教学环节:第一部分为感知阶段,复习本模块的重点单词和短语。第二部分为体验阶段,借助几个问题阅读文本找到细节信息,让学生口头练习,反复使用宾语从句进而掌握宾语从句的时态运用,达到用语言进行交际的目的。第三部分为运用阶段,通过A7以及Around the world的语篇练习,这些具体化的语境强化学生了对宾语从句的理解,最终达到用语言来进行交际。
第四课时Unit4课型为写作课。前面已有三个课时的关于本话题的语言输入,学生对该话题的语篇有了整体的感知和理解,有了一定的词汇和句型积累。因此,到了本课时是语言输出,形成文本。本节课设计的主线是从学生自身爱好出发、提出理想职业、谈及过去相关经历、最后思考如何实现理想职业。课堂首先以一首英文歌曲《Be What You Wanna be》作为导入,引发同学们brainstorm职业相关的名词,接着通过展示著名央视主持人朱广权及钢琴家朗朗的相关背景信息,引发同学们谈谈自己的爱好及理想职业。为了激发同学们乐于分享自己过去有关爱好的相关经历,提前安排俩同学录制视频,谈及他们各自的爱好及理想职业,并分享他们各自过去有关爱好的相关实践经历。此外,本课分为三个基本的教学环节:词汇句子输入、构建文本和评价活动。在完成所设置的写作任务后,学生树立正确的择业观,能明白只有从小立志、努力学习、坚持不懈奋斗才能实现理想和人生价值。
三、教材分析
本模块以广播为话题, 具体涉及对电台的简单介绍,收听广播和播音员的职业生活等。Unit 1为听说语篇(对话),从Radio Beijing 的参观入手,将学生引入到真实的情境中, 既学习语言知识,感悟语言功能,又了解广播知识。该内容是学生日常生活中的一部分,因而学生会很感兴趣。课文对话描述了陈欢带领学生参观北京电台的情景,同时玲玲也表达了希望成为一名播音员的愿望。这是教材中第一次出现广播电台这个话题,所以很多相关内容学生并不了解,需要教师在活动前给学生做大量的铺垫。从与广播有关的知识吸引学生,灵活利用各种素材组织教学过程和内容,充分调动学生的积极性。
Unit 2为阅读语篇(文本),是一位播音员的自述,文章采用插叙的方式讲述了作者进入播音行业的求职经历,以及作者朝着自己的梦想不断努力的过程。为了帮助学生更好地理解插叙这种写作手法,教材中设计了专门的活动让学生辨认重要事件和背景信息。通过借用学生在语文课中学到的关于插叙的知识,使学生进一步认识到这种叙述手法能够使文章结构紧凑、曲折有致并富于变化,也有助于展开故事情节和突出人物形象。在学习语言的同时,学生也应该学习这位播音员坚持不懈,勇于追求梦想的精神。
Unit3是语法课,以宾语从句的时态用法为核心,通过听、读、写各方面的活动为学生提供了大量的语言运用的机会,便于在语境中强化学生对宾语从句的理解和引导学生进行归纳和总结。A1、A2、A3是关于本模块重要语法点:宾语从句,为学生提供了语法和词汇方面的活动,引导学生进行归纳总结。A4、A5、A6、A7以及Around the world部分是关于电台广播听说读写的语篇练习,这些具体化的语境强化学生对宾语从句的理解,拓展了学生对话题内容的认识,并实现让学生做一期校园广播节目的单元任务。既训练了学生听和读的语言技能,同时又增加了与话题相关的语言输入,因此其对应的语篇主题是“人与自我”中的“实现梦想”。
Unit4是写作课,本模块的写作任务是通过谈自己的爱好及理想职业,分享自己过去和爱好有关的经历,最后为了实现理想职业目前力所能及的举措。综合unit1、unit2及unit3三课时已灵活利用各种素材组织教学过程和内容的教学铺垫与积累后,已充分调动学生的学习积极性,学生们将通过在情境中运用所学的重点词汇、短语和句型,进行写作,达到语言输出的最终目标。
四、学情分析
八年级学生对社会新事物以及和他们生活息息相关的事物总是充满好奇,而广播电台这个话题是在本套教材中第一次出现,所以很多相关内容学生并不了解,需要课前给学生做大量的铺垫活动。对于学生来说,广播电台的工作流程是新鲜又陌生的,利用好这节课的相关主题内容能引起学生的兴趣。八年级学生正处于青春期,对口语表述的内容,不到很有自信的程度,他们不会随意表述,因此,要准确把握好学生已知内容和未知内容,并采用适当的任务型鼓励机制促使学生多开口。
五、教学目标
(一)Language ability
1.Students will be able to understand and use the new words and expressions: director, avoid, background, national, international, presenter, interview, on air, show sb. around, avoid doing sth, keep doing sth, do interviews with.
2. Students will be able to understand the conversation on radio programmes.
(二)Learning ability
1.Students will be able to talk about radio programmes.
2.Students will be able to get specific information from the dialogue.
3.Students will be able to draw a road-map of visiting Radio Beijing and retell the dialogue.
(三)Thinking ability
Students will be able to inspire thinking by doing activities like role-play,draw road-map and think about how to turn their hobbies into dream jobs.
(四)Cultural awareness
Students will be able to develop the spirit of pursuing their dream jobs and enjoy the pleasure of studying.

七、教学过程

Step3 While-listening (15 mins) Activity 1: Listen and check the types of news you hear. Play the record and ask the students to listen and check the types of news. ( Activity 1) Then have a check. Activity 2: Listen again and complete the sentences. Get Ss to listen again and get the details to fill in the blanks. Then check the answers one by one. Activity 3: A:Listen part 1 and choose the right answer. B: Listen part 2 and take notes. Then have a check. Activity4: 1.Read the dialogue together. 2. Role play in groups; 3. Role play in front of the class. Activity5: Play a video of the dialogue. Activity 1 Listen and check. Activity 2 Listen again and fill in the blanks. Activity 3 A.Listen and choose. Step4 Post-listening (14 mins) Activity1: Ask Ss to help Chen Huan to draw a road-map(路线图) of visiting Radio Beijing . Activity2: Retell the dialogue. Ask Ss to retell the dialogue according to the pictures and key words. Activity3: Ask Ss to read the passage together. Ask Ss to work in pairs. Do an interview. Activity4: 1.Ask Ss to think about the relationship between hobby and dream job. Activity 1: Ss work in pairs to draw a road-map of visiting Radio Beijing according to the dialogue. Activity2: Ss retell the dialogue according to the pictures and key words. Activity3: 1. Ss read the passage together. 2. Ss work in pairs. Do an interview. Activity4: Ss think about the relationship between hobby and dream job and answer. In this part, Ss can develop their oral English and learn to use the language knowledge they have learnt today into their daily life. To develop Ss’ higher level of thinking ability and turn their hobbies into dream jobs.
Step5 Summary (3 mins) Let Ss sum up what they have learned today. Ask Ss to choose the best group in this lesson. Ask Ss to give an evaluation to themselves according to the Student’s Self-evaluation form. 1.Summarize what they have learned in the class. 2.Choose the best group. 3.Ss give an evaluation to themselves according to the Student’s Self-evaluation form. Teaching reflection 本节课围绕广播节目视频展开话题,本节课是一节听说课,贴近学生生活,学生感兴趣,乐于参与。此外,通过小组合作学习,师生、生生互动,使全体学生都能够参与到教学活动之中,充分发挥学生的主体地位,体现了新课改理念。 在语言的输入输出过程中,以学生为中心,关注提高学生的自主学习意识和小组合作意识。特别是在口语输出环节上做到先听力输入、再角色扮演、然后复述课文并完成访问活动。 在今后的英语教学中,本人会更关注学生的小组建设、特别是小组成员间问题的探究模式。 需改进的地方,1.备课时要统筹兼顾,教学内容的安排要详略得当,保证学生有充足时间去享受学习过程;2.需深挖教材,加强思维品质的培养。
