教材分析：
本课时通过提供小组制作宣传手册的课堂活动，小组合作和小组竞争的学习方式，让学生在做中学，在学中做。教学中将综合训练学生的独立思考能力、团队协作能力、自我反省能力。
教学策略与设计说明：
1. 采用任务型教学法(Task-based language teaching)，布置活动任务，设置活动目的，引导学生完成相关任务，达成各教学步骤设计目的。
教学目标：
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
语言能力上，掌握宣传册的定义、组成部分和核心内容，能够阅读与制作。
思维品质上，发展审美能力和归纳事物特点的能力，提高写作水平和综合运用英语的能力。
文化品格上，通过课堂活动，积极参与、主动思维、大胆实践，体会交流思想和共享知识的乐趣。
学习能力上，提高用英语进行思维的能力，培养自主学习和协作学习的习惯，锻炼学生用英语进行自我表达和交际的能力。
教学重点：
学生模仿后进行创新，进行学校宣传手册的制作。
教学难点：
以课堂教学为依托，加强和提高运用英语的综合能力。
模仿后进行创新，通过小组合作的方式为学校制作宣传手册。
教学资源：
教材、多媒体课件、黑板与粉笔。

Step 1 Warm-up for the lesson: Ss are asked to watch a video about the Oxford Summer Course and learn how to introduce a school and how to attract more people from the kind of video. Then, Ss are asked discuss the following questions as a class. What do you think of the lessons/teachers/school events in your school 通过观看视频，让学生学习介绍学校的手段与目的，并引出本课的主题。而后，全班自由讨论，引导学生主动思考。 8’ CW/IW
Step 2 Discuss in groups: Ss are required to research their chosen topics as a group of four, and provide some illustrations in their discussion. Suggested ideas: People (number, relationships, hobbies…) Buildings (history, size, location…) Activities (Time, Type, Content…) 学生分小组讨论（4人1组）, 实现生生互动、师生互动。拓宽思路，集思广益，并进行进一步的举例说明。 5’ GW/IW
Step 3 Discuss and present: T should introduce the definition and pictures of a booklet, and then demonstrate on each part of a booklet, such as cover, contents, general introduction and details. Ss are asked to make a simple booklet in groups. 老师介绍宣传册的定义和重要组成部分，引导学生分组完成制作任务。通过小组合作与小组竞争的方式，调动学生的积极性。 12’ GW
Step 4 Exchange ideas: Ss are asked to pick out the most creative booklet and explain the reasons why it is the most creative one. T could provide the scoring criteria for students. 学生进行组间互评，充分发挥学生的主体性。 6’ GW
Step 5 Assessment: Ss are asked to write down the assessment in the column “Me” and ask their partner to write down his / her assessment of your performance in the column “Partner”. Then Ss are asked to answer the following question. Question: What can you learn from your partner 培养学生正确认识自己、在课堂中进行自省的能力，并学会发现他人的优点，从而进行学习和自我提高。 5’ IW
Step6 Further study: T could introduce some information and show some pictures about UNESCO and the film Front of the Class. 老师介绍相关背景知识，提供学习材料，引导学生课后深入学习。 4’ CW
Step 7 Culture Firstly, T helps Ss to recall the memory about “School like in the UK”. Then T plays a micro video to introduce the British school system to make Ss understand the main topic “education” of the unit deeply. Also, T asks what subjects they are interested in. After checking their favorite subjects, T leads them to know how to evaluate Ss studying in Britain. T plays a micro video about A-level test. Finally, T leads Ss to discuss the feature of A-level, both challenging and easement. 升华单元主题，用已学阅读作为导入，引导学生学习英国教育制度，并辩证思考优缺点。教师通过播放微课，提高信息传递。 10’ CW
Step 8 Homework: Chose one of the further study and finish the tasks. I. Make a short speech on the benefits or function of education. II. Make a short speech according to the following questions: 1. How did he realize his dream 2. What did he do to achieve his dream 1’
