High blood pressure
词数:321 文体:说明文 摘自:网络资源
本文是一篇说明文。文章主要讲述高血压对健康的危害以及预防高血压的重要性,并针对不同人群对多久测量一次血压提出一些建议。
High blood pressure, a common condition, rarely has noticeable symptoms, which make the condition difficult to identify, and that is why many people don't know they have it. The best way to find out whether you have the condition is to have your blood pressure(BP) checked with a monitor.
This is important because spotting any problems as early as possible reduces the risk of complications(并发症),which include cardiovascular disease such as stroke(中风),heart attack and heart failure, and kidney disease.
So how often should we check your blood pressure to find out whether you have the condition
Dr Sarah Brewer, medical director of Healthspan, said if you haven91 had your blood pressure checked in the last year, make this a priority.
She explained, "If the reading is below 130/80 mmHg, then you go forward and have your blood pressure checked at least once every 5 years as it tends to increase slowly with age. If your BP is on the high side of normal (130/85mmHg to 139/89mmHg) or if you are aged 40 or over, it's best to have an annual check. If your blood pressure is 140/90mmHg or higher, see your doctor for advice on high blood pressure."
How often should you check your blood pressure if your BP is high
If you have hypertension(高血压),check your blood pressure as often as your doctor tells you to, said Dr Brewer.
She added, "Guidelines suggest your doctor review you every 3 to 4 months until your blood pressure is well controlled. Once your blood pressure is stable on medication, you may be reviewed less often, every 6 months or annually. It's a good idea to check your blood pressure with a home monitor so you can ensure it isn't increasing or affected by changes in diet, lifestyle and stress "

一项名为Walk Cancer Away的活动,想要找到帮助战胜癌症的方法。到目前为止,活动的参与者已经为癌症中心的Nancy Kemeny博士的结肠直肠研究基金筹集了70多万美元......
Every year, countless individuals are impacted by cancer. Our goal is to walk away from cancer as we give strength to those fighting this life-threatening disease. Walk Cancer Away invites everyone to participate in our annual family friendly walk event and join together to share the strong will power found inside each of us with those around us. With each step we take, with each story shared, and with each donation made we are one step closer to finding a cure. To date, we have raised over $ 700,000 for Dr. Nancy Kemeny’s Colorectal(结肠直肠的) Research Fund at Memorial Slogan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), together with thousands of people supporting this cause over the last 12 years we are committed to.
Walk Cancer Away began as a walk-in honor of James N. Rentas. Deeply influenced by his loss due to colorectal cancer, the Rentas family came together 12 years ago to help others who are suffering the disease. Dr. Nancy Kemeny at Memorial Slogan Kettering Cancer Center, who was the doctor treating James N, Rentas, mirrors that same goal. Her efforts and that of her team at MSKCC are focused on researching to overcome the disease and find a cure.
Together, they have made great achievements over the years and have provided years of life for those who face adversity.
In many cases, their continued efforts have led to full remission of the cancer in patients. With the deepest gratitude we are thankful to all those who support and participate in the event each year, because without you this would not be possible.
Although Walk Cancer Away started just 12 years ago, we are forever honored to be able to join in this event that so many of us find so close to our hearts. We ask you, your family, and your friends to join in this year’s Walk Cancer Away Event.

文孤独症,也是自闭症,让我们一起来了解患自闭症人的特点,治疗和控制的最佳时期以及.....
Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD)(孤独症)is a disability that can cause serious social, communication and behavioral problems. There is often nothing about how people with ASD look that makes them different from other people, but people with ASD may communicate, interact, behave, and learn in ways that are different from most other people. The learning, thinking, and problem-solving abilities of people with ASD can range from pretty good to extremely bad. Some people with ASD need a lot of help in their daily lives; others need less.
People with ASD often have problems with social, emotional, and communication skills. They might repeat certain behaviors and might not want change in their daily activities. Many people with ASD may also have difficulties learning, paying attention, or reacting to things. Signs of ASD begin during early childhood and probably last throughout a person's life.
Diagnosing(诊断)ASD can be difficult since there is no medical test, like a blood test, to assess the disorders. Doctors look at the child's behavior and development to make a judgement. ASD can sometimes be diagnosed at 18 months or younger. By age 2, an experienced doctor can be considered very reliable in diagnosing ASD. However, many children may not see a doctor until much older.
There is currently no cure for ASD. However, research shows that early treatment services can improve a child's development. Early treatment services help children from birth to 3 years old (36 months) learn important skills. Therefore, it is important to talk to your child's doctor as soon as possible if you think your child has ASD or other developmental problems.
We do not know all of the causes of ASD. However, most scientists agree that genes are one of the highest risk factors that can make a person more likely to develop ASD.
If you think your child might have ASD or you think there could be a problem with the way your child plays, learns, speaks, or acts, contact your child's doctor, and share your concerns. If you're not sure who to contact, call the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA)at 919-962-2001.Or visit the ECTA website: https://ectacenter.org.

Check the surroundings. Evaluate the situation. Are there things that might put you at risk of harm Are you or the victim threatened by fire, toxic smoke or gasses, an unstable building, live electrical wires or other dangerous scenario Do not rush into a situation where you could end up as a victim yourself. This refers to the D (Danger) in DRABC (Danger, Response, Airways, Breathing and Circulation).
If approaching the victim will endanger your life, seek professional help immediately; they have higher levels of training and know how to handle these situations. First aid becomes useless if you can't safely perform it without hurting yourself.
Call for help. Call out for help 3 times before you begin assisting the casualty. If someone is with you or approaches, instruct them to call the authorities and be prepared to relay information to them so they can update the responders. It is not recommended that you leave the casualty unless absolutely required, but put them in the recovery position if you need to leave them for any reason.
Care for the person. Caring for someone who has just gone through serious trauma includes both physical treatment and emotional support. Remember to stay calm and try to be reassuring; let the person know that help is on its way and that everything will be alright. Other ways to reassure the casualty include asking for their name, if they know what has happened, and then about their interests.
