Dear Allen.
In your email,you expressed disagreement about our teachers speaking both English and Chinese in English
classes.I'm writing to give you some explanations.
Undoubtedly,lessons taught only in English provide students with a good English-learning environment,
which enables them to learn more quickly and efficiently.However,this method only works for students with a
high level of English proficiency.For students with poor English grades,this method may make it difficult for
them to follow the teachers.Consequently,they will lose interest in learning English.In this sense,
the
bilingual teaching method is more effective.
Personally,whichever teaching method is adopted depends largely on the students.We should focus more
on learning outcomes of the teaching rather than the teaching forms.
