教材分析：
本课时主要围绕学生结合传统节日主题设计PPT的课堂活动，通过小组合作和小组竞争的学习方式，让学生在做中学，在学中做。教学中将综合训练学生的独立思考能力、团队协作能力、自我反省能力。成果展示操练学生的演讲表达能力。在实际的操作中，促进学生加深对于传统节日的理解，深化保护、宣传保护传统节日的意识。
教学策略与设计说明：
采用任务型教学法(Task-based language teaching)，布置活动任务，设置活动目的，引导学生完成相关任务，达成各教学步骤设计目的。
教学目标：
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
语言能力上，掌握PPT的组成部分和核心内容，能够阅读与制作关于传统节日的幻灯片，在实际的操练中进一步复习本单元的语言知识。
思维品质上，发展审美能力和归纳事物特点的能力，提高写作水平、归纳能力、及表达能力。
文化品格上，通过制作关于保护传统节日的幻灯片，加深学生对于传统文化的了解，提高保护优秀传统文化的意识。
学习能力上，提高用英语进行思维的能力，培养自主学习和协作学习的习惯，锻炼学生的实践能力。
教学重点：
学生模仿后进行创新，进行幻灯片的制作与展示。
教学难点：
以课堂教学为依托，加强和提高运用英语的综合能力。
了解幻灯片主要的结构与内容，掌握制作幻灯片的方法。

教材、多媒体课件、黑板与粉笔。

Step 1 Warm-up: T help Ss review the topic of Chinese traditional festival by redefining “Festival” to ask Ss to rethink deeply. 通过题目，总结传统节日的概念和作用。 5’ CW/IW
Step 2 Project: T asks Ss to recall some examples of foreign festival around world, T can remind Ss some examples by reviewing information from previous lessons. Then, T highlights research and teaches the advantages and disadvantages of each research method. Ss can use different way according to the list teacher offers. 通过复习国外的节日，串讲本单元内容。老师引导学生辩证思考不同查资料的方法，提高学生学习能力。 10’ CW/IW
Step 3 Project: Ss are required to collect information about their chosen writer as a group of four. T shows a mind map to stretch ideas. T can provide The Day of Dead as an example to show how to use mind map to organize information. 教师提供mind map并根据例子详细讲解，提高学生学习方法的使用。学生提高团队合作能力。讨论过程中，实现生生互动、师生互动。拓宽思路，集思广益。 20’ CW/GW
Step 4 Making slides: Having received enough information, each group needs to make slides. First, T needs to explain the functions and features of PPT. Then T shows how to make good slides. T uses two slides in the textbook, and lead Ss to evaluate these two slides before making their own slides. Next, Ss have 10-15 minutes to complete the task. 学习增加对于PPT的理解，并习得如何制作好的幻灯片。使用例子进行支撑，加强知识理解，利于后续制作幻灯片。 25’ GW/CW
Step 5 Presentation: Each group selects a student to give a presentation in front of the class. And other Ss give their advice to evaluate their PPT from contents, visual effects and innovation for improving their works. 鼓励学生根据制作幻灯片进行演讲，结果展示。提高语言能力和评价能力。 20’ CW
Step 6 Assessment: Ss need to give a reflection to their studying for the unit, and make a detailed plan for following study. 培养学生正确认识自己、在课堂中进行自省的能力，并学会发现他人的优点，从而进行学习和自我提高。 8’ IW
Step 7 Further study: T could introduce some information A Christmas Memory and Chinese New Year: The Biggest Celebration on Earth. 老师介绍相关背景知识，提供学习材料，引导学生课后深入学习。 8’ CW
Step 8 Homework: Make a PPT slide to introduce a Chinese custom, and presents your PPT next class. 巩固新知 2’ CW
