教材分析:
本单元围绕圣诞节的主题语境展开,内容涉及欧亨利的短篇小说《一美元八十七美分》。本课时主要为小说语篇情境下的语法内容——过去将来时,重点在于让学生在圣诞节礼物的语境下隐形体会过去将来时的使用,重点语法在于掌握过去将来事态的肯定形式、否定形式、一般疑问形式和特殊疑问形式的表达;重点表达方式涉及与节日相关词汇,如perfect, watch chain, reflection, mirror等;并学习如何续写故事。本文的价值取向在于学生通过学习,加深对于节日氛围和节日礼物的了解,体悟节日对于促进感情的作用。
教学策略与设计说明:
采用PPP教学法(Presentation Practice Production),结合本课时知识要点,先让学生找到前文包含过去将来时的句子,一起总结相关语法规则,进行系统学习,然后进行过去将来时相关的练习,最后基于节日的语境反复操练。
采用情境教学法(Situational teaching method), 借助多媒体设备,创设保护圣诞节的主题情境,引导学生进入情境,在情境中完成教学。
教学目标:
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:
语言能力上,通过回忆前文句型,学习和归纳现在进行时的被动语态这一语法要点;掌握提建议相关的语言表达。
思维品质上,在学习的过程中提升自身归纳总结能力,加强对传统节日的认识。辩证且合理思考故事走向
文化意识上,在了解西方文化的同时提升文化自信。
学习能力上,学会自主总结归纳语法规则,初步掌握故事续写的能力。

Step 1 Lead-in: Look at the pictures. What festival are these pictures about What do people do on this day T leads Ss to activate their knowledge. 通过图片引入,创设节日氛围,让学生迅速进入情景。 2’ CW
Step 2 Review: 1. Review the knowledge about simple future tense. 2. Look at these sentences. What tense do these sentences use T needs to highlight the differences between the kinds of future tense. According to rewrite the sentences from the article Ss learnt, T teaches the concept of future in the past. 通过复习一般将来时引入,在已知知识基础上促进新的语法知识的学习。 4’ CW
Step 3 Exploring the rules: Firstly, T asks Ss to read the whole passage and tell the class the main idea. T needs to listen and evaluate Ss’s answer. Then, T asks Ss to find the sentences that use future in the past and fill in the box below. Before doing that, T should give a tip to remind the difference between simple past and future in the past. Next, T correct answers and also lead Ss to understand the background and plots of the story. 结合小说情景,让学生在语境中找出并体会过去将来时的用法。 5’ CW/GW
Step 4 Summary: T guides Ss to summarize the structures of future in the past tense, and lead Ss to find the functions of it. T can consciously lead Ss to notice the comparison between simple future tense and future in the past tense. 学生在老师提示下自主总结过去将来时的结构,充分发挥学生自主性。 4’ CW/IW
Step 5 Explore the sentences T analyses the sentence to teach Ss understand the main plot deeply and the grammatical structure. 从句子出发,提高学生学习能力。 3’ CW
Step 6 Discussion T asks Ss to design an ending of their own for this story. T leads Ss to think about the main points Jim and Della really care, and remind Ss to consider the ending both side to stretch their thinking. Lastly, T asks Ss to change the role to think about what gift Jim would give to Della. 讨论环节提高学生思维方式和换位思考,通过语篇理解,引导学生思考情节发展为后续读后续写做准备。 5’ IW, CW
Step 7 Apply the rules: T asks Ss to complete the conversations with the correct expressions in the brackets. (B1-B2) 进一步深化语法学习,提高学生对过去将来时的掌握能力。 10’ IW
Step 8 Summary After filling in the blanks, T helps Ss to order the plot. And review the passage again. 疏通关键情节,为读后续写做准备。 5’ CW
Step 9 Writing: T asks: What do you think Della and Jim would do when they found out what had happened Write an ending for the story using future in the past. T helps Ss to build up the circumstance and the content they may not think about. Then, T needs to teach the way to write following plot, highlight the main point to make the story attractive. Also, using the story as an example, discuss the possible plot with Ss to activate their ideas. Next, combining the criterion of writing, T lists tips for writing language. 结合前面所学和语篇的情节,教授读后续写的方法,强调故事情节的合理性,以及拓展学生思路。同时,结合故事结构和语言表达来提高学生英语写作能力。 20’ CW
Step 10 Writing-sample T provides two ending of the story to Ss, and analysing the two passage together with the criterion T taught. Then T asks Ss to give suggestions to them, and also think about what should be cared more for their own passages. 通过范文分析,加深读后续写方法的理解,并提高学生批判能力。综合思考情节合理性。 10’ IW, CW
Step 11 Literature knowledge: T introduces some literature information to let Ss learn some literature knowledge about One Dollar And Eighty-Seven Cents. 从《一美元八十七美分》出发,延伸学习更多的文学知识。 5’ CW
Step 12 Homework: T asks Ss to write a narrative about giving gifts to others according to your own experience, and try to use future in the past tense in your writing. 结合自身经验,要求学生进行仿写与对语法规则的操练。 1’ CW
