It looks like rain. = It looks like raining. 看起来好像要下雨。

Nice and …; good and … 可用来加强语气，意为“很，挺”。如：

Section A
Chinese people eat dumplings and perform lion dragon dances. 中国人吃饺子，舞龙舞狮。
They often eat turkey and Christmas cakes and give each other presents. 他们经常吃火鸡和圣诞蛋糕并且互相赠送礼品。
It means the end of the Spring Festival. 它标志着春节的结束。
On this day, people eat sweet dumplings for good luck, watch lantern shows and guess riddles on lanterns.人们在这天吃元宵求好运，观灯展和猜灯谜。
Families in the USA get together for a big dinner. 家人团聚共享盛宴。

Christmas is the most important festival in many countries. 在许多国家圣诞节是最重要的节日。
Before Christmas Day, people are busy preparing for it. 圣诞节前，人们忙着做准备。
On Christmas Eve, the night of December 24th, families often go to church and sing Christmas songs. 在圣诞节前夜-----12月24日晚上，一家人通常去做礼拜并唱圣诞歌。

Before Chinese New Year, many Chinese families burn the old picture of Zao Shen, the kitchen god, to get good luck. 春节到来之前，许多中国家庭把灶神的旧画烧掉以期望带来好运。
