教材分析:
本课时主要操练学生的听力和阅读图表等语言能力。该部分教材内容介绍了网络的发展历史以及人们目前使用网络的实际情况,设计听力练习和相关延伸学习任务,操练学生的听力和阅读理解能力。教学中注重语言的运用,采用任务型教学法,自主学习与合作学习相结合的学习法,扩大课堂的语言输入量及学生的语言输出量。
教学策略与设计说明:
采用任务型教学法(Task-based language teaching),布置活动任务,设置活动目的,创设情境,引导学生完成相关任务,在活动中达成教学目的。
教学目标:
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:
语言能力上,能够从听力中获取关键信息,习得网络的发展历史,懂得图表的区别和特点,习得如何阅读图表信息。
思维品质上,通过了解网络发展的历史,并结合图表中的信息,辩证思考网络现象和生活方式出现的原因。
文化意识上,懂得网络对世界各国交流活动的重要性。
学习能力上,习得阅读图表数据的方法,利于数据信息梳理和总结。
教学重点:
习得不同图表的信息表达侧重点及数据信息的理解和整合。
教学难点:
教授图表内容,引导学生自主思考和归纳。
教学资源:
教材、多媒体课件、黑板与粉笔。

Step-1 Lead-in: T asks a question: If you’re interested in computing or information technology, will you want to study them in university At the same time, T can play a short video from Cambridge University, and expand their thinking about computer science. After answering the question, T show a picture of what Ss study computer science need to learn on the first year to lead in “the introduction (history) of Internet. 通过引导学生思考自己对电脑的兴趣,导入老师在课上会讲解的网络历史的内容,引起兴趣,为后续的听力任务做铺垫。 5’ IW/CW
Step 2 Listening A1: Firstly, T leads Ss to predict the contents of listening material. Then, T guides Ss to highlight key words and possible importance separately. T analyses the way of listening step by step. Step 1: highlight the key words for locating answers Step 2: predict answers Step 3: listen to recordings (focus on question order) Then plays the recording and check the answer. 通过教授听力题型的特点,提高学生捕捉和判断信息的学习能力。 10' CW/IW
Step 3 Listening A2: T teaches what timeline is and gives some tips to catch key info. Then T shows the timeline table, and helps Ss predict the answers. Next T plays the recording and check the answer. 教师教授timeline的特征,提供听力技巧,提高学生学习能力。 5’ CW/IW
Step 4 Summary: T plays a short video to summarise above info and fulfill more details for making Ss understand information deeply. 播放视频,总结听力内容,为后续图表阅读做铺垫。 5’ CW
Step 5 Reading charts: T asks a leading question: Where can you see charts And then shows some pictures and situation words. Then, T teaches the features of different charts and the steps of reading them. (if possible, T can pick some Ss to analyse charts by telling data.) Next, Ss need to answer the questions on the book. While telling the answers, T can make Ss review the key info and features for each chart. 阅读图表,学生掌握不同图表的特点和阅读方式,提高学习能力和语言能力,并为下课时的图表信息输出做铺垫。 15’ IW/CW
Step 6 Discussion: Q1: Why do people like using charts to illustrate data Q2: When we make a chart, what kinds of thing are important [for reviewing features and functions] Q3: From the history of Internet and charts, what conclusion can we have [T encourages Ss to express their opinions and leads them to think about the effects of Internet on daily life (activities, ages, ways). If possible, they can also discuss the reasons.] 运用新知,引发学生对本课时内容进行总结评价,调动综合语言能力,提高思维品质。 5’ GW
Step 7 Homework: Find out charts on materials, and share them to the class. Tell the advantages of those charts. 巩固新知,自主探索,为输出任务做准备。 1’ IW/CW
