教材分析：
本课时引导学生回顾本单元主要所学内容，对本单元学习进行评价与反思，制作科学家的个人档案，其中包括查找资料、重新组织收集的事实信息并制作档案和展示成果。任务中，学生要感知和理解档案制作所体现的意义和主题。学生通过交流活动，激活本单元已学知识，巩固知识结构，促进语言运用的自动化，助力学生将知识转化为能力。
教学策略与设计说明：
采用任务型教学法(Task-based language teaching)，布置活动任务，设置活动目的，引导学生完成相关任务，达成各教学步骤设计目的。
教学目标：
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
语言能力上，学生能够在团队合作中积极互动，交换信息并描述，学生能够根据合作完成的科学家档案进行演讲，并相互评价。。
思维品质上，全面思考科学家档案构成部分，积极正面看待科学家的研究过程和努力。
文化品格上，感知科学家对世界的影响和掌握科学的重要性。
学习能力上，习得搜索信息的方法，懂得如何制作科学家档案，了解客观描述的概念。
教学重点：
引导学生综合运用语言，积极开口表达观点，复习本单元新知和已知。
教学难点：
以课堂教学为依托，加强和提高运用英语的综合能力；
了解主要的结构与内容，学生合作完成科学家档案制作活动。

Step 1 Lead in: T shows a picture of files and asks a question: What are they And What can you put into it Next, T asks questions: Have you ever make a file for yourself If yes, what information was presented in your personal file Ss need to answer the questions according to their personal experience. Last, T leads Ss to think the common of the kinds of information. [facts] 激发兴趣和灵感，激活学生背景知识，为事实档案（fact file）做铺垫。 5’ CW
Step 2 Lead in: T makes Ss think about the differences between fact and opinion. Alternatively, Ss can practice questions to consolidate new knowledge. 理性认识事实档案的特征，清晰区分事实与观点。 5’ CW/IW
Step 3 Project: T analyses the meaning of “fact file” and “scientist”. Then, T analyses the requirement of task and gives some tips to Ss. Next, T divides Ss into several groups and guides them to understand how to catch key info. Moreover, T shows a picture of Darwin and asks four question. After Ss answer them, T displays the sample file and analyses each part of it for highlighting the structure. Finally, T gives a conclusion and organize Ss to complete the task. 初步理解事实档案的构成要素。 引导学生以小组为单位，对文中的范例进行探究学习，表达自己的观点与见解。 15’ CW
Step 4 Project: If possible, T gives 10 to 15 minutes to make Ss complete the task. Then, each group choose a student to present the fact file to the class. 引导学生通过小组合作，初步完成事实档案设计与制作。 15’ GW/CW
Step 5 Evaluation: T provides a criterion for Ss to evaluate their files. 引导各小组对本组和他组的作品作进行简要评价，培养学生的鉴赏能力和分析评价能力。 10’ IW/GW
Step 6 Discussion: T asks Ss to rethink about the proverb and answer two questions. After the unit, do you have a deeper understanding for the proverb How do you understand “science” and “scientist” 通过回顾Langmuir的名言，升华本课时内容，提高对科学家努力的理解。 5’ CW
Step 7 Assessment: Ss need to give a reflection to their studying for the unit, and make a detailed plan for following study. 培养学生正确认识自己、在课堂中进行自省的能力，并学会发现他人的优点，从而进行学习和自我提高。 6’ IW
Step 8 Homework: Polish up the fact file. Do the further study for the unit. 巩固新知和本单元主题内容。 2’ CW
