Ss may have different answers: Furniture: sofa, chandelier, carpet, curtain… Household appliance: TV, air-conditioner… Plants Painting Then, T highlights PAINTING and asks what effects it has. Next, T can play a short video about a painting and ask Ss to talk about their feeling of it. If possible, T can circle the contents of it and give some tips. 利用生活正式情况“装修房子”创设情景,引发学生思考美术对美和感受的影响。 通过视频,让学生观察作画的过程,感知作品内容,为后续学习任务做准备。 5’ CW/GWStep 2 Welcome to the unit T has the students read the quotation together and discuss the following question. Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks.—Simonides of Ceos T plays a video about poetry and poetry and paintings then T highlights silent and speaks to show eyes and mouth. 理解名言背后的中心思想,开发学生对主题的认识和见解,拓展思维意识。通过播放视频,让学生从感官上感知美术和诗歌的联系。 10’ CWStep 3 Discussion: For summarizing and explaining the proverb, T asks: what are the similarities between painting and poetry. Possible answer: Both painting and poetry are art forms that express beauty and well worth appreciating as they provide us with artistic pleasure… Painting: colours, light and shapes Poetry: sounds, words and abstract images. Returning to the street view painting before, and asking Ss to think about a poetry the they can recall. 讨论总结问题,学生积极回答,提高改话题下的语言能力,拓展学生思维的广度与深度。 融合语文学科和美术学科,通过观察美术作品,激活已知的诗歌,提升学生对作品的体会。 10’ CW/GWStep 4 Welcome to the unit T teaches the topic words and asks Ss: 1. Which type do you think each of the painting belongs to Why Then, T plays each picture and check the answers, if necessary, T can analyse the contents in each painting. Mona Lisa: The painting is of a person's head and shoulders. Dance in Moulin Rouge: The painter painted real people in a real situation. They are dancing and socializing. Sunflowers: The painting is of flowers that have been arranged in a vase. Landscape painting: The painting is of a natural view of mountains. At the same time, T tells some knowledge or stories about each painting or its painter.
