It's quite impressive to see Canada geese flying into the clouds. They live to be around 25 years old and are veryloyal. They never forget their first home.No one knows this more than my family.
In 2000, when I was seven, my parents and I came back from a T-ball game one late spring afternoon. To our surprise, two adult geese and a baby goose were in our driveway(车库前的私人车道)。The adults were shocked by us and flew away, but their baby was too young to fly|and couldn't follow. We are no strangers to the ways of wildlife, so we knew to avoid contact with the baby, hoping he could join his parents.
Hours passed, and night fell. The tiny little thing was wandering around our yard, unaware of what could happent it was clear that the baby needed protection, warmth, and food to make it to the morning, so we brought him onto our back porch and set up a wire fence to enclose and protect him.
We all pretty much slept with one eye pen till moming. And then another morning. And another. Each day, we tried eagerly to get the baby back to his parents, who kept coming to our yard. He wouldn't go to them to claim him. The baby goose had clearly decided we were his new family and we gave him a name ---Peeper,because he would follow us around the yard making a peeping(唧唧叫),nonstop.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks, and weeks turned into months, until almost year passed. Peeper slept on ou back porch in typical goose fashion.Every day,my dad would clear his droppings with water and throw him up intothe air, so he could fly a loop around the house, coming back again once the porch was clean.
Paragraph1:One evening,my uncle was over, and my dad wanted to show him Peeper's loop_________________________________________________________________________
Paragraph2:It came as a shock 20 year later when an aging adult goose made his way back to my yard.

Why did I talk about the lifespan and loyalty of Canada geese in the first paragraph
What can you infer from the underlined sentence in the second paragraph
My father knows some common sense about protecting wild animals.
What are the words in the article to describe Canada geese Is there a difference What can you infer from different names
答:a baby goose --- their baby-- The tiny little thing --the baby--.he baby goose ---Peeper. It can be seen that Canada geese &“ I ” get along with each other and “ I ”like the big bird more and more.
Why does the author use the verb was wandering (作者为什么使用was wandering这个动词?)
答:On the one hand, it shows how much the author likes it, on the other hand, it shows how relaxed babay goose is!Or the babay goose are curious about the new place ( full of curiosity.
Do you think Babay Goose was lucky (你觉得babay goose幸运吗?)
答:I think he is extremely lucky. He was not driven away instead of being protected in the human world. Human being provide him with food, warmth and bed.
Why didn’t his parents claim him
(The adults were shocked by us and flew away, but their baby was too young to fly|and couldn't follow.)
Why do we sleep until moring with our eyes open
We want him to be reunited with his parents and to have their company.
Why are there successive expressions about time in the text (为什么文中连续出现关于时间的表达?)(比如:1 Hours passed, and night fellAnd then another morning. And another. 2 Days turned into weeks, and weeks, and weeks turned into months, until almost year passed.)
答:(A)to move the story forward.
(B)Our love for baby goose grows with time .
(C)As time goes by, goose grows up.
(D) a figue of speech---Repetition
追问(what’s the function of the Repetition )
答:By repeating the same words,phrases,clauses,or sentences,the mood is intensified,meaning reinforced,and stress realized.(目的在于加强语气、加深印象、阐明观点,达到强调语言的效果。)
What are the functions of “ could ” and “ typical ” in the following sentences
(1) but their baby was too young to fly and couldn't follow与 Peeper slept on back porch in typical goose fashion.
(2)my dad would clear his droppings with water and throw him up into the air, so he could fly a loop around the house, coming back again once the porch was clean.
答:We use ‘could’to talk about general ability in the past. 这样的一个baby goose (weak( to young )-strong-typical)长大了。
那么父亲给baby goose清扫粪便时,baby goose总会飞一圈,父亲打扫完毕他才飞回来时作者用到了一个词“would”: 可解释为:“would”can also describe behavior, often in the sense of what is habitual or regular.
比如:Every summer he would go away for a month, whithout saying where or why.
Too young--baby goose--a typical goose--25years old

Paragraph1:
One evening,my uncle was over, and my dad wanted to show him Peeper's loop . When he cleaned the peeper’s droppings as he always did peeper ruffled up his feather and spread the powerful wings. Stooding beside him,I can feel the wind from wing beat. One minute later, he perched upon the ladder to dispay his fine feathers as if only by this can he live up to my uncle’s eyes popping out in surprise.“ Will he leave ” Worry filled my heart for I love him so much that I am afraid I will lose him some day. He flew higher and higher and then disappeared into the clouds .“ What a naughty little thing and he will be back soon! ” said my father .However, we spent another sleepless night.
Paragraph2:
It came as a shock 20 year later when an aging adult goose made his way back to my yard. My father and I were mowing the lawn when he appeared as handsome as ever. Peeper’s arrival greatly excited my Dad and he went straight to the barn to get bird food while peeper waited to be fed. like a baby. My father once said it was the sky, the lake, and the grass that were his real home. But for peeper, he had a unique one--- our home. We love each other, respect each other ,be loyal to each other and we enjoy.
