how 引导的特殊疑问句:
1.how引导的特殊疑问句提问交通方式，How do/does+主语+动词短语（去某地）？
其答语分三种情况：
a. 主语+take a/an/the+交通工具+去某地 I take the subway to work
B.主语+去某地+ by+交通工具（单数） I go to work by subway
c. 主语+去某地+on/in+限定词+交通工具 go to work in the subway
表示乘交通工具方式可以互换表达相同的意义:
Take the bus to school=go to school by bus=go to school on a bus
Drive a car to work=go to work by car=go to work in a car
Fly to shanghai=go to shanghai by plane/air
=take the/a plane to shanghai=go to shanghai on a/an/the plane.

It takes me about ten minutes to get to school . 从我家到学校大约需要10分钟。
How long does it take sb. to do sth. 做某事要花某人多长时间。
It takes sb. some time to do sth. 做某事花了某人多长时间。
How long does it take Lily to walk to school.
It takes her 1o minutes to walk to school.
How far is it from your home to school 从你家到学校有多远？
=How far is your school from your home
It’s about ten kilometers. 大约10千米。
(How far is it from A to B =How far is B from A ) 从A到B 有多远。
答语: It's... / It's+表示时间的距离
How far is it from the park to your home
It’s about 3 kilometers.
距离的回答 It's+ 路程+from A to B.
A is +路程+from B.
It is +时间名词的所有格+walk/ride/drive.
How far is it from Beijing to Shanghai
It’s about 1084 kilometers.
Beijing is 1084 kilometers from Shanghai.
It’s about fourteen hours’ bus ride.

be sure of sth. 对某事有把握，确信 I' sure of your success.
be sure to do sth. 一定会做某事 Tom is sure to come here.
be sure+that从句 相信...（会发生） I'm sure that you can succeed.
7. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. 坐公交车要20 分钟。
The subway ride takes me/him/her about forty minutes to get to the supermarket

many + 可数名词复数
much + 不可数名词
（2）it 做形式主语引导的句子
It is +形容词+to do sth 做某事怎么样 It’s interesting to go to school by bike.
It is +形容词+for sb+ to do sth 对某人来说做某事怎么样...
It's easy for me to ride a bike.
It is +sth+to do sth 做某事是...It’s their dream to have a bridge.
(3) There is a very big river between their school and the village.
在学校和村庄之间有一条很大的河流。
between...and... 在.....之间
John sits between Mike and Tony.
The school is between the park and the library.
(4) These students go on a ropeway to cross the river to school.
这些学生沿着索道穿过小河去上学。
in/ on + a/an+交通工具
cross, across 与crossing 衡越，横跨， 穿越 用法有差别
cross 动词，可以单独作谓语
across 介词，需要和动词一起构成谓语
crossing 名词，十字路口
They cross the street to school every day. 他们每天横过马路去上学。
They walk across the street to go to school every day.他们每天步行横过马路去上学。
Turn left at the second crossing. 在第二个十字路口向左拐。
(5) One11-year-old boy. 一个11 岁的男孩
数词+名词+形容词（连字符号后的名词必须用单数）
如果用连字符，就不用复数形式，也不加’s 如：a ten-minute walk
如果不用连字符，那就要用复数形式，结尾加’s 如：a ten minute’s walk.
(6) But he is not afraid because he loves school.但是他不害怕因为他喜欢学校。
be afraid of sth 害怕某物 I am afraid of the snake.
be afraid to do sth 害怕做某事 I am afraid to get to school late.
(7) And I love my teacher. He is like a father to me.
我爱我的老师，他像父亲一样对我
like 介词 像......
She is like her mother.
(8) Many of the villagers never leave the village.
大多数的村民从来没有离开过村庄
many of +... ......中的大多数 Many of us are from Beijing.
leave 离开，离去
leave sp 离开某地 She left Beijing last year.她去年离开了北京
leave for sp 离开去某地
She will leave for Beijing.她将要离开（现在的地方）去北京
(9) It is their dream to have a bridge.=Their dream is to have a bridge.
有一座桥是他们的梦想。
dream 名词 梦想 My dream is to buy a new car.
dream of/about 梦想 梦见 I often dream of my grandmother.
(10) Can their dream come true 他们的梦想能够实现吗？
