教学目标
通过本堂课的学习,学生能够: 1. 通过预测和听记关键词了解一个青少年项目; 2. 通过上下文原则猜测词义; 3. 通过梳理新闻的结构和语言特点学习新闻报道的写作方式; 4. 通过探讨更多的文化遗产保护方式进一步理解其意义。
教学内容
教学重难点: 指导学生从整体和关键细节两方面理解听力文本内容;培养学生听中猜测词义的能力;与同伴探讨参与文化遗产保护活动的方式。学生们缺少这几个方面的能力,使得教学重点也成为了难点。
教学过程
Before Listening Activity 1: Understanding the topic of the unit 本活动为落实课时目标1作铺垫。 1. T shows the opening page of the unit and asks Ss their understanding about the topic and the saying. Q: Do you know what cultural heritage is and why we protect it (Possible answers: Cultural heritage is the heritage of tangible and intangible pieces of assets(valuable things) of a group or a society that is passed down from the past generations.) 2. T shows the contents of this unit 【设计意图】结合主题图,引导学生思考cultural heritage的意义,激活单元话题和相关话题词汇;通过思维导图的形式呈现单元学习内容和活动,让学生对本单元的学习有了直观的了解。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生听前看图和文字进行听力预测的习惯。同时也培养了学生逻辑思维能力和对中国壮美河山的了解,增强了民族自豪感。 Activity 2: Make predictions about the main idea of the interview 本活动落实课时目标1。 T encourages Ss to predict the main idea of the interview. Q1: Where are the volunteers (on Mount Tai) Q2: What are they doing (looking for information; taking photos and notes; sharing ideas) Q3: What youth project is it (to protect cultural heritage like Mount Tai) (Tip1: Make predictions by referring to the title and pictures.) 【设计意图】通过图片观察的形式,学生猜测对话的重要信息,完成文本主要内容的概括,将内容和语言有机结合,从而为深入理解语篇内涵作好铺垫。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生“看”、“说”的能力,同时培养学生分析、归纳的逻辑思维能力,以及整合运用语言进行表达的能力。 While Listening Activity 3: Summarize the main idea of the interview 本活动旨在落实课时目标1。 Ss listen to the interview for the first time and take down related key information from the aspects “Who, What, Where”. (Tip 3: Conclude the main idea by focusing on the key words.) 【设计意图】通过聚焦、记录关键信息的学习方式,激发学生学习兴趣,根据关键信息,进一步整合文本内容,概括文本大意。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生听时要抓记重点细节信息的能力。 Activity 4: Further understand the topic 本活动旨在落实课时目标1和2。 Ss listen to the interview again and take notes about important detailed information. The information includes who makes up the volunteer group, what the app is mainly about, and why they choose Mount Tai) 2. Ssuess the meaning of the new words according to the context. (Examples from T: The palace was destroyed years ago. By studying old photos of the former palace, they have made the new one look exactly like the old one. Clues: destroyed years ago; studying old photos; made the new palace like the old one Guess: The former palace means “the palace that _____________________”. Principle: Context Principle, including Inference, Definition/Explanation, Example, Antonym, Synonym.) 【设计意图】教师通过思维导图形式呈现对话内容,一是帮助学生听时概括梳理信息,二是为实现课时目标3打好基础。学生通过上下文猜测词义,在听和读的过程中关注、分析作者给出信息和线索。 【核心素养提升点】培养听时抓取重要细节信息和线索的能力,根据上下文猜测词义的重要分析能力,融语言、内容、结构、思维于一体的综合语言运用能力。 After Listening Activity 5: Write a news report about the youth project 1. Ss finish a news report and comb the structure of the news report by using mind maps. 2. Ss discuss what else they can do in the daily life to protect cultural relics. 【设计意图】通过完善新闻报道,实现课内学习的综合运用;同时,通过思维导图理清新闻报道类文章的结构,引导学生关注新闻报道的体裁结构特点。听后表达,回顾听力内容,并让学生结合自身情况,讨论分析日常保护措施,进一步理解文本内涵和单元主题。 【核心素养提升点】培养语言迁移运用和整合性输出的能力;培养逻辑思维等思维能力。培养学生参与文化遗产保护的意识,增强艺术鉴赏力。
