Help students learn the history and culture of Kremlin and Red Square.教学过程Step1: Lead in Free-talk: What do you know about the Kremlin and Red Square Step2: While-listening Listen to the tape, which is about a dialogue between two tourists and a tour guide when they visit the Kremlin, Red Square and surrounding buildings for the first time, and then ask the students to solve the following tasks. 1. Listen to the conversation and answer (1) Where are the speakers On a street. What are they doing Sightseeing. 2. What do you know about the Kremlin and Red Square Listen again and complete the fact sheet. Step 3: Listen for some Details Listen to the tape carefully, and then fill the blanks of the dialogue. Step 4: Listening Text Analysis Read the listening text and use attributive clause to fill the blank. Part1: T1: Excuse me, but what is the Kremlin exactly T: The Kremlin is a special area. Inside, there are five cathedrals and four. It’s where the palaces lives, too. The Kremlin was actually built between the 14th and 17th centuries. Part2: T1: Forgive me for asking, but can you tell me more about Red Square T: Well, it’s considered the centre of Moscow, and there have been many important parades and events held here. It also used to be a marketplace a long time ago. Step 4: Speaking Project Choose a cultural site that you like and role-play a conversation between some tourists and their tour guide. Try to use different tones to play the different roles.
