教学目标
通过本堂课的学习，学生能够： 1. 通过观看视频，了解长城的历史； 2. 通过观看视频，理解长城的文化价值； 3. 思考如何保护文化遗产。
教学内容
教学重难点： 用英语表述长城的文化价值；由于文化遗产保护与学生日常生活较远，关于措施的思考对学生来讲是一大挑战。
教学过程
Activity 1: Reading the introduction and circling the adjectives and adverbs that show the greatness of the Great Wall 本活动为落实课时目标1作铺垫。 1. T asks the student to read the introduction to the Great Wall and then circle the adjectives and adverbs that show the greatness of the Great Wall. 【设计意图】结合课本介绍，引导学生思考长城的伟大之处，激活相关话题词汇，为后续观看视频做好铺垫。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生细节定位能力。同时也培养了学生对中国壮美河山的了解，增强了民族自豪感。 Activity 2: Matching the phrases below with the pictures from the video. 本活动为落实课时目标1作铺垫。 【设计意图】通过图片匹配的形式，学生预测视频中的内容，为进一步理解视频作好铺垫。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生读图的能力，并预测视频内容。 Activity 3: Deciding whether the following statements are true or false and find out the evidence from the video. 本活动旨在落实课时目标1。 【设计意图】通过正误判断，引导学生视频中的细节，了解长城的历史。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生观看视频时抓记重点细节信息的能力。 Activity 4: Completing the sentences below with the words heard in the video 本活动旨在落实课时目标1。 【设计意图】教师通过填空的形式帮助学生梳理视频信息，进一步了解长城的历史。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生观看视频时抓记重点细节信息的能力。 Activity 5: Thinking about the cultural influence of the Great Wall 本活动旨在落实课时目标2。 Q: What is the cultural influence of the Great Wall Possible Answers: It has witnessed China’s ups and downs. It is a symbol of Chinese identity. China is a unified country because of the defensive function of the Great Wall. It stands for Chinese people’s determined resistance to foreign aggression. 【设计意图】观看视频后，引导学生思考长城的历史文化意义， 【核心素养提升点】培养语言迁移运用和逻辑思维能力。培养学生民族自豪感。
Activity 6: Listing the measures that can be taken to protect the cultural heritage site in China. 本活动旨在落实课时目标3。 【设计意图】列举保护中国文化遗产的可行措施，提升学生遗产保护的意识。 【核心素养提升点】培养语言迁移运用和创新性思维等多元思维能力。
