通过本堂课的学习,学生能够: 1. 通过文本信息梳理,了解爱尔兰的自然风光和传统风俗; 2. 通过梳理文章语言特点,学会利用感官描写法描述一个地方; 3. 通过梳理文章结构,学会利用衔接手段让描写更加连贯。
教学内容
教学重难点: 1.学生能增强把握篇章结构的能力; 2.学生能提高赏析文章语言的能力; 3.学生能以清晰的结构和生动的感官细节来描述一个地方。
教学过程
Activity 1: Leading into the topic - Ireland 本活动为落实课时目标1作铺垫。 1. The student is asked to guess the place the teacher describes. 2. T introduces the nick name of Ireland. 【设计意图】教师描述一个地方让学生猜测,自然引出文章话题——爱尔兰的自然风光与传统风俗,并简要介绍爱尔兰的昵称。 【核心素养提升点】加强学生对于爱尔兰文化的理解。 Activity 2: Locating the key words in the title 本活动为落实课时目标1作铺垫。 【设计意图】定位标题中的两大关键词,为语篇分析做好铺垫。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生分析、归纳的逻辑思维能力。 Activity 3: Writing down the places and sensory details in the order that they appear 本活动旨在落实课时目标1和 2。 【设计意图】展示优秀篇章是如何运用感官进行描写的,同时通过图片展示文字所呈现的画面,凸显感官细节描写带来的表现力。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生语言的赏析能力。 Activity 4: Locating the transitional sentence 本活动为落实课时目标3作铺垫。 Ask students how the author connects Ireland’s landscape with Ireland’s traditions.【设计意图】加深学生对篇章结构的理解,并学会运用在写作中过渡句衔接各部分。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生的逻辑思维能力。 Activity 5: Analyzing the structure of the passage Ask students to read the text and find out its introductory sentence and ending sentence, and the body. Through observing the content of the three parts, let students conclude the tip for writing a descriptive composition: tell readers your topic in the introduction and give readers a summary or suggestion in the ending. 【设计意图】分析篇章结构,使学生了解到写作中应当使用introduction – body – ending的结构,并在首尾写作合适的内容,为后续写作作铺垫。 【核心素养提升点】培养结构分析能力。 Activity 6: Describing the West Lake based on the video Show students a video of the West Lake. Ask students to imitate the structure and sensory details to describe the scene in the video. After finishing the writing, the student evaluate the writing with the following checklist. 参考范文: Beautiful West Lake and Its Unique Food The beautiful West Lake has always had a great influence on its people and food. It has inspired poets and painters throughout Chinese history for its natural beauty. The peaceful landscape of West Lake is a true feast for the eyes, with its calm surface dotted with little boats. By the lake, the rustle of the fragrant blossoms and the soft twitters of the birds make up the music of spring. Better yet, enjoy West Lake sweet and sour fish, a unique local cuisine at a nearby restaurant. If you are a nature and food lover, you cannot miss this precious opportunity of visiting this amazing place. 【设计意图】仿写是使学生从输入到输出转变的重要一步,在教师的视频和语言引导下,运用恰当的词汇对课文中描写句进行仿写,尝试调动视觉与听觉,将对爱尔兰的描写转化为对西湖美景的描写。同时培养学生的阅读意识,使学生认识到阅读对写作提高的积极作用。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生描述性写作能力。
