通过本堂课的学习，学生能够： 通过回顾课文，掌握伦敦基本信息； 2. 通过观看视频，了解伦敦的概况和历史文化景点； 3. 通过观看视频，思考伦敦的城市特色； 4. 通过分组讨论，深化学生对历史和传统的重要性的理解； 5. 通过分组讨论，帮助学生发现中国的历史和传统文化。
教学内容
教学重难点： 用英语表述伦敦的城市特色和文化内涵；由于伦敦的相关内容对于学生来说较为陌生，正确朗读景点名称、谈论相关城市特色、探究历史文化内涵对学生来讲是一大挑战。。
教学过程
Before you watch Activity 1: Review 本活动为落实课时目标1作铺垫。 T guides Ss to review what they have learnt about London in reading and thinking. Q: Why is the capital city London a great place to start It is an ancient port city. It has a history dating all the way back to Roman times. It has countless historic sites. It has lots of museums with anciet relics from all over the UK. 【设计意图】结合教学主题，引导学生回顾阅读文本中已学的关于伦敦的相关信息，激活话题内容和相关话题词汇。 【核心素养提升点】培养学生快速获取文本关键信息的能力。 Activity 2: Introduce the topic 本活动落实课时目标1。 T presents the map and introduces some basic information about London. London sits upon the River Thames in the southeast of England.
