教学目标
In this class, students will 1.learn about different types of music; 2.listen to people talking about their music preferences and share their own; 3.learn to paraphrase something difficult and to understand key information by using this technique while listening; 4.talk about the role music plays in their daily life.

Step 1 Lead-in Show the first page of the unit and ask students to discuss performers’ activity, their surroundings, the names of musical instruments in the picture and the type of music the performers play. Observe the picture carefully and discuss. To lead to the topic; to arouse students’ interest; to introduce some new words and expressions.
Step 2 Brainstorming 1. Ask students to talk with each other and to brainstorm more types of music. 2. Play some pieces of music and ask students to guess the type. 1. Talk with each other and figure out more types of music. 2. Enjoy some music and guess the type. To activate what students already know.
Step 3 Pre-listening 1. Show four pictures and ask students to figure out what the people are doing in the pictures. 2. Ask students to match the correct music types with each picture. To provide relevant information for the students and prepare them for the listening task.
Step 4 While-listening 1. Play the recording of interview and ask students to draw lines between the words to make complete sentences. 2. Show two conversations and ask students to paraphrase the sentences in them. 4. Play the interview again and ask students to complete the listening text. 1.
