Step 1 Lead in Have you watched this drama before It is the hottest Chinese drama of 2023.------- The Knockout Let’s watch a video and know more about this drama Step 2 Observe and Analyze 1.Zhang Songwen’s performance as the crime boss had received rave reviews, which made viewers feel like he was not acting at all. relative pronoun (关系代词）; antecedent（先行词）;attributive clause 2.The drama began screening on China Central Television and streaming platform iQiyi where it has set rating records to a top viewership ranking. relative adverb (关系副词）; antecedent（先行词）;attributive clause We have learnt relative pronoun before. Today we will focus on relative adverb. Task 1: Find the attributive clause, antecedent and relative adverb in the following sentences. 1.The story happened in the city of Jinghai where the problems of underworld figures and corrupt officials were the most serious. 2.The Knockout is a crime drama where a front-line policeman(An Xin) struggled against the leader of a major criminal enterprise(Gao Qiqiang) for about twenty years. 3.This was the place where An and Gao first met each other. Read and Discover Rule 1:where在定语从句中作地点状语,相当于in/at + which Task 2: Fill in the blanks by using appropriate relative adverbs. 1.The house _______ Gao lived was very magnificent. 2.After graduating from university, Gao Qisheng came back to the town ________ he was born.
