一.作文中常用的标点符号
英文作文中常用的标点符号有：逗号、句号、引号、冒号、问号、感叹号。
注意：英语中没有“《》”，英语中的书名、报刊名、杂志名及其他出版物在印刷中一般用斜体表示，在书写时可用引号。
二.书信
（一）格式
书信一般分为三段：
开头段：问候、自我介绍、写信背景（为什么会写这封信）、写信目的
中间段：具体问题＋具体分析
结尾段：总结性阐述＋客套话
（二）常见书信的写法
※建议信
开头：
I am XX, I’m glad to receive your letter asking for my advice. （很高兴收到你征求我建议的来信）Now, I am writing to give you some advice. （现在，我写信给你一些建议）
中间：写给对方具体的建议
There are several simple suggestions for you. （这里有几点简单的建议给你）Firstly, ……Secondly, ……. Thirdly, ……..
结尾：
I think you can make it if you follow the advice. （如果你听从建议，我认为你会做到）If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know as soon as possible.（如果有其他事情我能为你做的，请让我尽快知道） I’m sure you can solve your problem.（我确定你能解决你的问题）

开头：
How are you doing （你最近如何）I am writing to show my gratitude to you. （我写信来表达对你的感谢）Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me.（我从心底感谢你对我的帮助）
中间：表达自己取得的进步
With your help, I have made great progress. （因为你的帮助，我已经取得了巨大的进步）I will work harder in the future and make more progress.（在未来我会更加努力，取得更多的进步）
结尾：
Thank you again and wish you all the best. （再次感谢你，愿你一切都好）
※邀请信
开头：
I am XX. Our school is going to hold …（我们学校即将举行。。。） I know you are good at… （我知道你擅长。。。）I am writing to invite you to join it. （我写信邀请你参加）
中间：描述具体活动内容
Here are some details for the activities. （这里是活动的一些细节）
结尾：
We are sincerely looking forward to your coming. （我们衷心希望您能来）
例文：
假定你是李华，你校要举办元旦晚会。请你写封邮件邀请你的美国朋友Alien参加，内容包括： 1. 时间 2. 活动安排 3. 欢迎他表演节目。
注意： 1. 词数100左右； 2. 可以适当增加细节，以使行文连贯；

How are you doing recently I am delighted to share a piece of good news with you: The New Year party will be held in our school hall on the evening of December 30. I am writing this letter to invite you to join us and have a good time together.

要点：明确发言对象、内容。
经典句型
开头：

中间：

It's so nice to see all of you here. I feel honored to have he opportunity to talk about love for our parents. Many people are moved by the song Going Home Often when they hear it, including me. As a high school student, I think we should respect our parents.(演讲的主题)

四、议论文
议论文写作中常用表达句式
1. 表示原因
The reason for this is that…
这件事的原因是……
2. 引出事物的优点
Generally, its advantages can be seen as follows.
以下是它大体带来的好处。
3. 引出事物的缺点
Just as a popular saying goes, “Every coin has two sides.” This one is no exception.
正如一句谚语所说：任何事情都是一分为二的。这个也不例外。
4. 用于比较、阐述不同观点的常用句型

五、通知
书面通知一定要有发通知的日期及落款，一般用第三人称来写。时间、地点、参加者、内容、注意事项是通知的要点。
例文：
(2018全国卷 II)你受学生会委托为校宣传栏“英语天地”写一则英文通知，请大家观看一部英文短片Growing Together，
内容包括：1. 短片内容：学校的发展；2. 放映时间、地点；3. 欢迎对短片提出意见。
注意：1.词数100左右； 2.可以适当增加细节，以使行文连贯。
Notice
In order to have a better understanding of our school, an outstanding English short movie about our school will be shown in the library from 2:30 to 4:00in the afternoon on June 9th. It is organized by the Student Union. Here are some relevant details about it.
To begin with, the name of the movie is Growing Together, which is about the development of our beloved school. As we all expect, it will be not only meaningful but also interesting. What’s more, everyone of you will be welcome to take part (participate) in it, enjoying the movie, having a heated discussion afterwards and giving your own comments.
