教学过程
Activity 1: Finish the timeline of the Reading and Thinking passage 本活动为落实课时目标1作铺垫。 【设计意图】该活动旨在帮助学生复习和巩固上一课的主要内容和关键短语。通过时间轴的方式,学生需要理清航海发展的时间和重要事件,既训练了他们的阅读理解能力,提高了他们对词汇的理解和运用,又训练了他们的逻辑思维能力。 Activity 2: Finish the summary of the Reading and Thinking passage 本活动旨在落实课时目标1。 Inspired by Marco Polo’s ________, European explorers searched for sea routes from west to east. However, ________ and explorers from the East _____________ long before Columbus did. In ancient times, like the land Silk Road, a trading sea route ____________ as well, where merchants met to __________________, thus leading to their better cultural awareness. Later, ___________________ of Zheng He, fleets in the Ming Dynasty sailed to other parts of the world to _______________ these regions. The land and sea routes remained, the latter of which has become part of the Belt and Road Initiative in recent years. With China’s huge investment, the initiative ____________________ and __________________ between China and the rest of the world. A trading route across the sea was also extended along the coasts of the Indian Ocean. 3. Here, merchants from China and many other places met to negotiate trade deals, which also led to more awareness of each other’s cultures. 4. Although China withdrew from further exploration after 1433, these land and sea routes remained active channels between other cultures for centuries. 5.
