教学重点: To activate and engage food-related knowledge and skills; To cultivate group cooperation, apply creative thinking ability and design a restaurant 教学难点: To actively participate in group discussion and cooperation to complete key aspects of a new restaurant;

教学过程
Activity 1: Warm-up Talk about the cuisine appearing in previous learning periods of this unit
Activity 2: Brainstorming Talk about the factors that should be considered if you plan to open a new restaurant Activity 3: Group discussion Discuss the following questions in groups of six and have a general idea of the restaurant: What kind of restaurant will it be (e.g. fine dining, casual family, or fast food theme franchised加盟 business hour ) What kind of cuisine will you serve (food & cooking method) Who will be your customers How much will you charge Where will the restaurant be located Activity 4: Group division & cooperation Finish the following tasks in 8 minutes with each group member in charge of one task: decide on the dishes to be served and the chef to be employed design the menu in both English and Chinese design the kitchen design the dining area and decorations give the restaurant a name and design advertising materials for it work as a manager to help everyone coordinate their ideas and activities Activity 5: Presentation Make the presentation by using the following pattern Evaluate according to the form and think of the suggestions for improvement Vote for the best presentation Appreciate a sample presentation Activity 6: Further thinking Think how to publicize and promote the restaurant to attract more customers Activity 7: Role-play(视课堂时间而定,若时间不够也可改为课后作业) Visit each other’s restaurant and make a dialogue of ordering food Assignment Polish the presentation materials of your group based on the improvement suggestions, and share your post with illustrations on online platforms.
