1. 最高级：表示三者或三者以上(人或物)之间的比较。
（1）最高级基本句型结构：主语 + 谓语动词 + the + adj./adv.(最) + of/in …（比较范围）
e.g: 1. The picture is the best of all. 这幅画是所有画中最好的。
2. She is the most beautiful girl in the class. 她是班上最美的女孩。
Tara is the youngest of all.
Linda draws (the) most carefully in her class.
注：(1) 副词的最高级前可省略 “the” eg：sit (the) most comfortably 坐得最舒适
(2) 最高级前有其它的限定词时，不加“the”： my best friend
（2）Which / Who …+the + 最高级…, A, B or C
e.g. Who is the tallest, Tom, Kate or Bill 汤姆、凯特、比尔，谁最高？
Which do you like (the) best, apples, pears or oranges
（3）one of +the +最高级（形）+名（复）： “最…之一”。
e.g. She is one of the most popular teachers in our school.
Jack Chen is one of the most famous actors in the world.
the + 序数词+最高级（形）+名（单）：
e.g. She is the second tallest girl in our class. 她是我班上第二高的女孩。
Hainan is the second largest island in China.
2. 原级、比较级、最高级的相互转换
（1）原级与比较级的转换：比较级+than → not...as/so...as...
e.g. He speaks more loudly than me. → I don’t speak as/so loudly as he/him.
（2）比较级与最高级的转换： the other +名（复）
（在范围之内） the+最高级 → 比较级+than+ any other+名（单）
e.g. Jim is the tallest student in our class.
Jim is taller than any other student in our class.
Jim is taller than the other students in our class.
Jim is taller than anyone else in our class.

and so on意为“等等”，用在所举例子的后面。

all kinds of表示“各种各样的”，a kind of“一种”，different kinds of“不同种类的”。

7. That’s up to you to decide.
be up to sb.意为“由某人来决定”，常用的句型为“It’s up to sb. to do sth.”。
It’s up to me to help you with your English.

8. When people watch the show, they usually play a role in deciding the winner.
play a role in意为“在……中发挥作用/扮演什么角色”。play a role in doing sth.
Schools play the most important role in education.
The actress plays the leading the role in the film.
However, not everybody enjoys watching these shows.
not与every以及含有every的不定代词连用时，表示部分否定，意为“并不是每个人都……”。
Not everyone is interested in the film.
Some think that the lives of the performers are made up.
make up此处意为“编造（故事、谎言）”，另外，make up还可以表示“化妆”。
The story is made up.
She likes making herself up every morning.
However, if you don’t take these shows too seriously, they are fun to watch.
seriously此处是副词，意为“严肃地、认真地”，take...seriously表示“认真对待……；把……当真”。
I just joked, but he took it seriously.

come true意为“实现、成为现实”。

one of...“……之一”，后接名词或者代词复数，one of+the+形容词最高级+可数名词复数，意为“最……的之一”。
