Sentence patterns: ①- What do you want to watch - I want to watch talk shows. ②What do you think of talk shows I love/ like/ don’t mind/ don’t like/ can’t stand them. They are interesting/ funny/ boring/ OK/ exciting. Ability objects: Learn some names of different kinds of TV shows. 2. Learn to talk about likes and dislikes. 3. Improve Ss’ listening and speaking skills. III. Educational objects: Learn to talk about pop culture, the names of different kinds of TV programs and what you like. Pay attention to form the correct cultural concept, vigorously cultivate the students' cross-cultural significance, and form your own independent personality.

Teaching procedures: Step1 Warm up Greetings Lead-in T: Have you heard that covid-19 is serious in many countries, especially in India S: (Yes) T: How do you know it S: From the TV. T: Yes. From the TV news we can know that ... So what kinds of TV shows do you want to watch Now, let’s watch a video. (Design intent: Ask about the familiar topics in students' daily life to introduce the topic and arouse students' interest.) Step2 Pre-listening Show the pictures in the video and learn the names of different kinds of TV shows. talk show, sitcom, news, talent show, soap opera, game show, sports show Guessing game: Who has the best eyes (Design intent: Master different kinds of TV shows through happy guessing time) Match the TV shows with the picture [a-g].(1a) Students activities (Pair work):Present some pictures and learn some expressions about feelings. - Do you like talk shows - Yes, I love them.
