Dialects serve as an intangible heritage in a country, which connect people with their history. Sometimes, they even embody a region’s unique culture, say, Kunqu Opera. Therefore, local dialects help maintain a diverse society and offer many life-enriching experiences.
Should dialects die out, it would be a great loss of culture for us and future generations, so we should endeavour to conserve and treasure dialects.
