soon副词，意为“不久；很快”。指现在或指定时间之后“不久”
fast意为“迅速地”，指运动的物体和运行的速度“快”。
quickly意为“快速地”，强调立刻行动，毫不迟缓，毫不耽搁。
eg：Write to me soon. 尽快给我回信。
Spring is coming soon. 春天很快就要来了。
Don't walk so fast. 不要走得这么快。
Quickly! Or well be late. 快点儿，否则我们要迟到了。

vacation，holiday都表示工作日以外的休息时间（但不包括周末或仅一天的休息日），也指旅游度假；vacation多用于美式英语，holiday多用于英式英语。
on vacation意为“在度假”，相当于on (a) holiday；go on a vacation 表示“去度假”。vacation是名词，意为“假期；休假”，常与介词on连用，“on+名词”结构可表示“在某种活状态”，如：on duty（在值日） on sale（在出售）
eg：They're on vacation in Hawaii. 他们正在夏威夷度假。

write既可作及物动词，也可作不及物动词，意为“写作，写字”。write about 写……的事 write down写下来,记下来,记录。write to sb. 意为“给某人写信”，相当于write a letter to sb.；其反义短语是hear from sb.或 receive a letter from sb.，意为“收到某人的来信”。write back to sb. 意为“给某人写回信”。
eg：She wrote to him in China. 她在中国给他写信。
Write down the address before you forget it. 把地址记下来，免得忘了。
My pen pal writes to me every week. 我的笔友每周都给我写信。
I often hear from my aunt. 我经常收到我姑姑的来信。
I write back to him to thank him for the invitation. 我给他写回信以感谢他的邀请。
