Step.1 Lead-in 1.T asks Ss to look at the photo of “Chinatown of San Francisco” and answer the following questions: ● Do you like travelling If you want to travel to Chinatown in San Francisco, what do you want to know about Chinatown in San Francisco before you get there Step.2 Pre-reading 2.T asks Ss to read the text for the first time and answer the following questions: ● 1.Who is the target readers ● what is the text type Step.3 While-reading T asks Ss to read paragraph 1 and answer the question. What does it talk about Chinatown (para.1) Location and climate. 2.What kind of information is included in this part (para.2) History, ethnic group and language. 3.What items are mentioned in this part (para.3、4、5、6) ... 4.Conclusion: What information is included in the introduction Tick the items that are mentioned.
