George had his eye on a scoring record. He took a deep breath as he
stood in the doorway, looking in at the basketball court. The gym
was old and small, but it held a long history. Maybe today I'll make
history, George
thought.______________________________________________________

George looked over the brochure for the anniversary. It listed the

George's best record was 19 points. He was the Badgers' top scorer.
"It seems that my dad never showed off something like that, " George
said.
When his parents arrived, George brought the brochure over to them.

team.
1. 续写词数应为150左右;
However, his team was now one point behind the Lions.
With no defenders around, David turned and shot at the basket.
1. However, his team was now one point behind the Lions.
2. With no defenders(后卫) around, David turned and shot at the
basket.

is a struggle. You have good teammates”的真正含义(呼应材料)
David(衔接下文)
However, his team was now one point behind the Lions. With the
ball tightly gripped in his hands, confidence surged as he thought he
could definately surpass his father's record(呼应). Suddenly, opposing
players closed in with___________________________, leaving no gaps
to break through. (做出抉择前的自我纠结)“Should I sacrifice personal
glory for team success or risk defeat just for my achievement ” he
asked himself as the clock ticked away second by second. He thought
tough defense(用到原文词汇)
of what the coach had exhorted: “play as a team”(呼应), finally
understanding the true meaning of his father's words - though every
second is a struggle, but not when there are teammates(呼应). Then
he noticed David gesturing to him from the sidelines, decisively
__________________________________. but whether it would lead to
victory or regret remained uncertain.
giving a sharp passing(用到原文词汇)
With no defenders around, David turned and shot at the basket. The ball
swept through the air in a perfect arc toward the basket, falling into it
and landing on the ground. As the judge whistled, the game ended and
victory was secured. The crowd erupted into cheers as they felt the
power of working together. The team members dashed together to
celebrate for the hard-won fruit, arms raised and shoulders bumped.
David hugged George tightly and thanked him for the selfless and
responsive passing. George's parents rushed toward Geroge from the
audience, giving him a proud embrace. This time, George realized that
victory was about efforts of a team, not an individual.
