（1）buy 动词，意为“买"，过去式为 bought。易混淆词：bring“带来”,过去式brought.
常用结构为： buy sb. sth.= buy sth. for sb. 为某人买某物。
当sth.为人称代词的宾格形式(it/them)时，只能用buy it/them for sb.结构。
eg. My mother bought it for me.( ) My mother bought me it. ( )
He buys some flowers for her. = He buys her some flowers. 他给她买一些鲜花。
（2）lots of意为“许多”，相当于 a lot of,可修饰可数名词和不可数名词。
注：many只能修饰可数名词，而much修饰不可数名词。
（3）food and drinks意为"食物和饮料"， food在此用作不可数名词，表示食物的总称
drink表示“饮料”时，一般用作不可数名词；
但是，当drink表示不同种类的饮料时常用复数，可以加s。

（1）each of us 意为“我们每一个人"，其中的each是代词。
each of 后接复数名词或代词，作主语时，谓语动词通常用单数。
若each在句子中作同位语，谓语动词和句中的主语保持一致。
eg. Each of them is going to plant trees. 他们每个人都打算去植树。(each作主语）
They each are going to plant trees. 他们每个人都打算去植树。(each作同位语）
（2）each 和 every都可以指"每一个"。each表示一定数目中的每一个，强调个人或个别
，指两者或两者以上中的每一个。every表示数目不确定的许多人或物中的每一个
，强调整体。指三者或以上中的每一个。 every不单独与of 连用。
eg. Each student is here. 每个学生都到了。
Every student likes English in our class. 我们班每个人都喜欢英语。

by hand 意为"用手工"。介词by表方式，意思是“用”，后面常跟抽象名词成动名词，构成的短语表示完成某活动的方式、途径、手段等。
make sth. by hand 靠手工/亲身做某事/物，by有“依靠”的意思。
比较：in 和 with
（1）in 表手段，意思是“用”，后面常跟有关语言和材料的词语。
eg. 本会唱英语歌。 Ben can sing ______ __________
（2）with 表工具，意思是“用”，后接表示有关工具的词语。
eg. 我们用钢笔写字。 We write ______ _________.
另外，by+交通工具，表示乘坐某种交通工具。eg. I often go to school by bus.

（1）sit around... 意为“围着……坐"，around有“周围，四周”的意思。
eg. walk around 四处走走，look around 环顾四周。

Chinese people sat around the table and ate dumplings on New Year’s EVe.
（2）make a wish 意为“许愿"。
（3）blow 意为"吹（气）”，过去式为 blew。blow out 吹灭，熄灭。当宾语是
名词时，可放在中间也可放在后面；当宾语是代词it，them时，只能放在中间。
eg. The windows blew open.窗子吹开了。
Please blow out all the candles. = Please blow all the candles out. 请吹灭所有的蜡烛。
